Recently one of the goals of the site has been to streamline our news, increase our writing staff, and better present much of the great material that is in our forums. Combined with the news site poll -------->
about how much news you think is good, I would also like to know what kind of news you most enjoy reading.

Poll: For news, I would most like to see...
(Vote): Interviews
(Vote): Game Reports
(Vote): Translated Korean Articles
(Vote): Foreign Scene News
(Vote): Weekly Summaries (of general like liquiscoop or a progaming summary of the weeks action)

Also, please leave a comment about what kind of news you think is unnecessary, or any suggestions to make the the news page better. Well written critisisms are very valuable, so I appreciate your thought out repsonses.

Thanks,
Mani.

By interviews, do we mean translated interviews from like FiFo? Those are generally less entertaining than the TL interviews (in other words, if we can get more TL interviews done that would be great).

By interviews I mean ones done by TL staff, fifo ones I consider to be translated korean news.

Interviews done by TL are incredibly awesome, but take the most work as well I expect...

I'd love to have more Korean articles translated about personal progamer stuff, things we as the non-korean community have no idea about (for example rinizim's post about how the CJ team is known for not talking to each other much except about sc).

I've requested a general progaming summary before, and volunteered to do it, so I suppose you know what I think about that. ; )

Foreign scene news should be our least concern imo.
On a purely personal note, I'd like to show Yellow the beauty of infinitely repeating Starcraft 2 bunkers. -Boxer

LiquiScoop is one of my favorite news entries. I also like reading interviews

I don't think we would need foreign scene news in the News section because usually they are just posted in the general section (such as that Kerry topic that came out recently).

Liquiscoop and Game Reports rock my socks. Translated Korean articles are rare but they are like a diamond in the rough. But if they pop up too often they lose their spontaneity and people may start to underappreciate it.

It really depends on the quality of the source I think

While I love pretty much everything on that list, I must say that what really hooked me on TL.net was the Game Reports.

I enjoy reading TL's coverage of OSl and MSl most. Especially when they include plenty of screenshots. If only you would do ProLeague too...

ProLeague would be impossible, but I think we should do game reports for the playoffs

In order:

Battle reports (preferably quickly after games)
Translated articles
Summaries (like liquiscoop, etc. I would also like some non-Kor coverage, as I can't stand GG.net)

What fun is it being cool if you can’t wear a sombrero?

what he said, except that I think that tl.net shouldn't cover the foreigner scene, gg.net does a good job.
This is my truth, tell me yours!

This is site is one of the last great hide outs for anyone that has played too much StarCraft for their own good. It has been up for years with little to no down time and offered non stop decent content. I often hear many of it members scream and holler how great it is and how much they support it.. and yet..

When it asks of us a little feedback, we give it a total of 51 votes. Come on guys/galls and zias. You can do better. Show that pride: Vote.

& yeah tis a bumping.

torrenting games is just too long, and not enough time to watch the entire bo5's :O

1. translations of korean articles is what gets me the most excited when i come here. it brings us foreigners much closer to the korean progaming scene, as well as provides more information than anything else can get.

2. tl.net interviews kick ass. allows us to get our own information rather than having to leech off of the koreans all the time. good stuff.

3. game reports are great, but as a person has access to VODs and would rather watch those to keep up with the leagues, i wouldn't rank them first. this is what makes the site, however, and can't be ignored.

4. i keep up with the site often enough so that weekly summaries aren't as necessary. good for the casual tl.netter.

5. foreign game scene should really be left up to gg.net and sclegacy. although i don't frequent those sites very often, they seem to have a lot of that covered.
