Recent news on his afreeca channel (according to a korean i am talking to), JangBi will return to streaming during the month of December. I am not sure on exact date, but man am I hyped for our 2012 OSL winner returning once more after his first stream. Long live BW!!! 
EDIT: I've found something that has been stated from Zergman stating something being held on December 7th. Not sure what it says. Someone good with korean help maybe?

They're just fans and these sponsored matches and team battles are played all the time. It's not a sponsorship of any kind though usually these fans tend to sponsor matches for individual players or a group of players they like the most.

Anyone has any idea what sponsors that could be? Anything "big" maybe? I don't know much things about Brood War, but i want to see it growing again, could something like this be a first step in the dream direction?

I don't think it'll be anything big considering Sonic has trouble finding sponsors for SSL. More likely it'll be some online shops for gaming gear etc. like PCFamily who sponsored/sponsors individual players already.

IIRC, KT/SK/LG price gouge web services in Korea for bandwidth usage. This is one of the two reasons that Afreeca service is unusable outside of Korea (the other reason being that Afreeca software is programmed by a team of monkeys randomly typing away unoptimized platform-dependent crap). Afreeca in turn passes that cost on to BJs and viewers in various forms.
