The stage looks doped but tragically there was only like... 20 people in the audience. At the end the champion "celebrated" in front of almost no one lol. Even if BW is still doing very well online in Korea, offline it feels like it's pretty much in a coma. | ||

Furthermore, there just aren't enough hotkeys to use them comfortably with an already micro-heavy caster-based lategame ground army. But we also never see them as a way to fake a carrier transition while just suboptimally taking a 4th... which I think could be viable if you just position the buildings to be spotted and repeatedly cancel your corsairs when you know they're gonna scan - just so you can have infrastructure for the late game. In the meantime, they commit heavily to goliaths and gear up for a push which you hold off by staying committed to gateway units. I'd rather have those stargates ready when it's time to finally add in tech on top of your shuttles and templar. Instead of taking a 5th, you stop making probes at 60, get 4 corsairs with D-Web, and start trading dwebs for tanks. After the first offensive skirmish with d-web, you fall back into a defensive arc, and cut circulation off to their 4th. Then you take a 5th. Every 2 minutes or so, you take a cost-effective fight, then either add another expansion, or get some air weapon and armor upgrades for a carrier switch. It's VERY IMPORTANT that you don't lose any of your corsairs. So, you want to make sure to cover your corsair path from goliath fire by having your goon templar in position to punish wandering goliaths with storm. Push them back to their tanks, then dweb the lot of em. They coming on too spread? Circle around and dweb the strategic high ground tanks defending the 3rd while you just kill the CC. The most vulnerable window is about 2 minutes after you commit to stargate fleet beacon. You'll want another expansion quickly, but you have to be patient and make gateway units until the time is right to expand. Your eco will be weaker, so you need to be judicious with your templar guarding. If you keep 4 templar with storm alive and you have 4 corsairs with dweb, you can win fights against a partially entrenched terran. ___ I think this build is particularly good in games where you defend against a drop very well, then the Terran climbs to 3 bases expecting you to be taking your 4th, but scanning (or dropping again) diligently. This build is very suboptimal against committed 7 factory aggression off 2 bases. (Of course, you should have seen the 7 factory push long before you would think about taking a 4th.) This playstyle does really well against upgrade terran. If the terran is rushing 3/2, you'll get the goliath-heavy game state you're looking for to pull off this daring 3% play. | ||
