I feel ashamed to be part of this community, wth It isnt about english casting being bad It is about korean casting being what it is, I mean the english casters nowadays atworst just point out the obvious with some kind of jokes. If you mean sc2gg commentators, I'd say that most people playing at C/C- level and above knew more about the game which is sad to me, save for nuke, most of them has many so many calls where I would question if they watched the same game as me..

The Korean casting is incredible and what many of us have been listening to for ages. Without understanding the meaning of their words, we hear the excitement in their voices and get the feeling of the game. Kim Carrier is incredible as are his compatriots. Most of us will listen to them because we know they are the best, not because we hold any grudges against English commentators or what they are going to be expected to do. Kim Carrier will cry and scream about carriers if he wants to. I don't think an English commentator on short notice and with less involvement in the scene (there is no greater involvement than over a decade of casting OSLs) will do that. If you've been watching BW for ages, it will feel like sacrilege to listen to anything but the Koreans. Koreans yelling about StarCraft is part of the religion and tradition of BW. It would be weird, after listening to these guys so many years, to suddenly listen to a random English commentator's first day at OGN (who is likely destined to cast SC2 if all the 'look to the future' stuff is true).

I would like to associate myself to the comments made by Mr. Chef. Watching Zero play Jangbi was such a heart break because of the levels of skill that both players displayed. To the point that Kim Carrier was moved to tears. I didn't understand it then, but during game 1 of Flash vs. Fantasy, realizing how deep and amazing this game is and how much excitement it brought out of Sayle and everyone watching - I started to tear up. Can't believe their ending such an amazing spectator sport. Let's hope the finals deliver amazing games once more. What an epic finals (!!!)

Well, personally, since I've been doing casts of all the other OSL games this time around, I will just try to do a restream, unless I read a statement that clearly states that restreams will be taken down or are forbidden. Even if it would, it's not a big deal, my goal was only to cast the OSL to begin with. Would suck not to be able to do the finals as intended though. Either way, watching it should be more than enough to make me happy ![]()

The Korean casters are really good, saying that our English casters suck is either high standards or nostalgia.
