This is what will be given to the person whoever wins total of three OSL titles from now on. The mouse itself is made of real gold. It is 375g heavy, and is worth approximately about $8,000 in USD.
So it'll be like winning total of $28,000 for Boxer if he wins the final.

"person"? You know damn right Boxer is gonna win it!
Will Boxer get this mouse if he wins the Starleague final? I know they withdrew the autoseed rule, but did they also withdraw the golden mouse, too?

Golden mouse trophy still stands. But like you said autoseed x2 is gone.
Will Boxer get this mouse if he wins the Starleague final? Yup.
Changed from $800 to $8,000. Sorry, didn't look at the numbers carefully.
that's fuckin cool..but they should model it after the person's mouse who wins it and atleast engrave it or some shit
Damn that looks sexy as hell I'd hit it
Looks very nice. And no, it doesn't work (look at the cord). If I converted it correctly, the mouse should be about half a pound, so it would be pointless if it worked anyway.
It's not a "real" mouse, it is a trophy.
I belive that the champion earns $25.000 US$, isn't right?
cool!! looks nice. go boxer go
where could you possibly sell it though?
Boxer could probably sell it for a billion dollars to one of his superfans.
Anyways, ogogo Boxer! Take down Anytime!
next gamer who becomes 3xOSL winner (after boxer) should get a golden boxer sculpture

I think it's more their attempt at getting a consistant trophy going(I assume they will continue to make these every season now) and not giving the winner a trinket to pawn off --;;
i think its Gold plated. im not sure, anyone here shops for jewlery and know more about the costs? if it was solid gold i think it would be worth a lot more.

haha thats so cheesy but i guess since its about sc alls wellz

wonder how much it cost them to actually make that.
If its solid gold your looking at $10,000 +++ easily.
=O give me that trophy, looks great!
it's never worth less then the cost to make it
Yea but you all seem to forget hes gotta give it back when the next person wins, he couldn't sell it. And I think the idea of a ' Cup or Trophy is kinda cool, and for starcraft. Just makes the torneys more than about the money. Good one

Well, its different for gold.
I mean, the gold doesnt decrease in value because its not turned into 'something' yet...
However, if u get some wood and some metal its relatively cheap. If you put these together and make a nice cabinet then its worth more than it cost to make it.
I meant (if its solid gold) that they would have to have some kind of method to producing something like this... most probably with some kinda mould because lets face it, gold isnt THAT soft.
It would most likely cost more than its actually worth, not taking into account a mad fan paying millions for it.

nice i want it

Oh i see. Well that pretty cool, its abit like a Osca or Grammi but for starcraft. Lol how the gamming world is changing. I guess the 'Golden Mouse' is made up of a metal frame or wood for something and the coverd in gold, to create the effect that its completly solid gold.

na, thats the price its sold for which is obviously more than the value.

I think it works the sameway as the Jules Rimet Cup. It would be given to the first country to reach 3 World Cup Titles, Brazil made it and got the cup.
Brazil are only good for football, and football sucks bellend cheese. Now give me that golden mouse or i will cry.
I doubt he would have to give it back once someone else got 3 wins. It's not the Miss Universe crown.

[Gold] is the most malleable and ductile metal; 1 ounce (28 g) of gold can be beaten out to 300 square feet. It is a soft metal and is usually alloyed to give it more strength

He's right, by the way: a gold object will never be worth less than it cost to make it.
