Fantasy playing table-tennis in his first public appearance since receiving Lasik surgery.
SKT T1's bespectacled trio, Fantasy, Soo and Ssak have all undergone Lasik surgery.
On the 15th-16th of March, all three players underwent surgery at a clinic in Seoul. Soo and Ssak had their surgeries on the 15th while Fantasy received his on the 16th of March, a day after participating in the Proleague Post-season Media Day.
Since their debut, the three players have felt uncomfortable wearing glasses while playing so they took the opportunity to receive surgery after the regular season ended. Although they feel a little awkward without glasses, they're satisfied with the results. Due to recent advances in technology, the recovery time from Lasik surgery has been reduced and the players were able to participate in an athletics meet organized for T1's Starcraft and Special Force 2 players at an SK Knights gymnasium near Yongin in Gyeonggi-do on 21st March.
"Although it's awkward removing my glasses, I feel refreshed and with clear vision, I'll practice even harder to capture the winner's trophy that has elluded us for 2 years", said Fantasy.
What, I actually thought that Fantasy pulled off those trademark red glasses really well! And Soo and Ssak seemed to also pull off the glasses look... These feels, what do I do with 'em. Guess all 3 of them didn't wanna look that nerdy anymore. We shall see if the glasses curse will follow through.
Well, I found it jarring to look at new, glass-less Stork nowadays. I'm probably going to feel the same about new, glass-less Fantasy. I hope he doesn't slump as well.
hmm arent they supposed to avoid potential body shock and intensive eyes-using (read: pc games) for like a month after the surgery ? At least thats what my doctor ordered me to do.

Noooooooooo getting rid of glasses just before the Proleague Finals ? You must be fucking kidding me. Stork sucked for a while after his lasik surgery.
At least we have a good excuse if we lose the Finals again ;D
Thanks Ryo !

Well going to an athletics event is different from training for the Proleague Finals being on the computer constantly. Although there probably isn't any better time since after the Finals the OSL and Proleague season 2 starts.

My favorite player gets rid of his glasses? Behind my glasses my eyes go wide in shock as I no longer feel as connected to him as I did before! What shall I ever do?
Plus, wouldn't it be better to save such operations until after the PL finals? Well, I guess long before the PL finals is the next best thing...
And since BeSt had his done earlier...the only player left on T1 still with glasses is Paralyze/Afrotoss?
First chins, now glasses. what else is going to disappear next????
BTW Fantasy without his trademark glasses looks really odd. he actually does look a little bit like boxer as others have said. too bad he doesn't play as well as him. but oh well.
Is lasek surgery something that is popular in Korea? Everyone seems to be so fixated to have the perfect appearance in general so how do they look at glasses over there?
Feels wierd seeing fanta without his red glasses tho. ^^
Have you guys noticed? Stats and Mind getting chin made, Fantasy, Soo and Ssak lazer their eyes... it's obvious, they try to get similar to their idol, Bisu.

Noses
if bisu does a nose one, I will cry =(
It's not uncommon for Koreans to get a nose job. In fact, a lot of Koreans (whether superstars or otherwise) get plastic surgeries because they're not satisfied with their looks. Koreans are very notorious for this. you may never know.

Not sure about Stork, but a definite 'yup' on the other two. Fanta in glasses is almost charming in his gawky, awkward way. Another one that would be foolish to do this is Soulkey.

I saw Soulkey mentioned a few times so here you go:
No, he didn't get Lasik, it's just a picture of him while he was getting his makeup done at the studio.
