I remember his game vs Jaedong (it had amazing zealot micro) and Flash in SWL finals (same) quite well. While he's not as awe-inspiring as Flash or Jaedong, I think Bisu's play is so smooth and that's what I love about him. Maybe it's a matter of taste? And I thought the reason he has anti-fans is taking down savior + obnoxious fanboys? :D

Because he played with excellent mechanics, because he made a frighteningly small amount of mistakes, and remained consistent throughout the year. That being said, he didn't try to do extravagant/overly risky plays. I haven't watched the video, but i have a feeling that Snow probably got more attention than Bisu.

To be honest I don't think this was one of the better ones I have seen. I felt like it was way too long and had a lot of clips/scenes that were either: Not that amazing (at least compared to a lot of other things we have seen) Rushed (like the osl finals at the end where it just showed like 1 picture from the first 4 games. there really wasn't anything good about those four at all?) Edited in a weird way so you may not get a good picture of what happened in that game if you haven't seen it already. Maybe it was just because of full screen but the zoom-in scenes made the quality suffer a lot (like the wraith valk bc battle or the flash v much clip). However, there were a lot of good clips that definitely made it worth watching.

1) Great play is great play sure, but it has a certain pleasure or sting when it's executed for or against someone you're rooting for. For some of the matches, couldn't help remembering the sinking feeling watching KT reverse-kill FOX live or the OSL final where Fantasy completely manhandled Stork. Not to mention reliving that horrid MSL group D all over again (Sea ). On the other hand, fyeah remembering cheering in the chat as Light emerged the victor of a hotly contested TvT and Flash winning over Fantasy in that awesome MSL semi-final. 2) I realized how much I miss individual leagues. Yeah, it's what we've all been thinking for months now, but this really drove it home for me. I miss cheering for individual players and the epic stories that are created as the rounds progress. Matches and series where people you didn't know had it in them convert you into their fans. OSL, please start soon! 3) It's been two years since I started watching pro BW and I don't regret doing so at all (even if stuff like the OSL 3x regame happen once in a while). Watching great play live with people around the world, refreshing LRs, the hype threads and news posts, all of the stuff surrounding the scene has been something that I am glad to have experienced/to have the opportunity to still experience. For all of those who want to give watching BW a try, don't think about it, just do it! When you catch it online in the TL sidebar, click, sit back, and hope that it's a series with good games. If it's not, try some of the recommended VODs and games in the various LR threads and threads in BW general (but watching live is a whole different experience). With all the uncertainty surrounding the BW scene (personal opinion and gut feel), its best to catch a game while you still can. Park Wan Gyu said it best: "Starcraft forever, ok?!"

What amazing zealot micro was there in the game vs Flash? edit: because unless I was looking at the wrong game I saw attack move zealots fighting vultures, then the ones we finally ran back towards the tankline stopping in the middle of empty space and dying. His credit there would be having the guts to go for the push break in the first place. And having a really nice build (who expects 4 nexus from a guy trying to sneak 2 DT's into your base?) http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/korean/games/63380_Bisu_vs_Flash/vod Err, yes, this is the game I watched and referenced specific moments from, care to point out where the good micro happens? In fact I just rewatched the push break moment, Bisu has a dragoon blocking his ramp for like 5 seconds, letting only zealots through. Then a second dragoon blocks it for another 5 seconds. He micros horribly at that moment in fact.

It wasn't until Flash finally got his vulture out that he managed to end the Zealot reign of terror in his base.

Thanks guys, 2011 was an awesome BW year. When stuff was really tough and rough, I could still rely on staying up all night to watch KT v SKT and chat about it. It's really meant a lot to me, and really made a difference, so TL BW'ers, thank you. Shoutout to RW's ers as well. Such. Good. Times. This highlight video just reminds me of all the joy Starcraft brought me in 2011, even through the toughest times. Thank you.
