I couldn't help but remember of Pals4Life... in which case Jaehoon is Leeroy obviously.

Thanks for translating!

largest hurdle is that theres only 9 players on the team (in a Bo7 format league no less), they have an even worse practicing environment than ACE lol

I doubt they won't have practice partners and whatnot. Just because they don't have a B-team doesn't mean they have no one to practice with.

Ju Hoon kind of looks like a creeper to be honest lol, but clearly he's a solid coach. So so so excited for team 8 to starting destroying everyone .

I kind of like him, lol.
I'm glad they picked a new coach with some experience instead of just picking the FOX or OZ coach. That guy will make the team look more fresh, and that will help draw in companies that are in it for the long run.

Creeper coach FITING!

I hope someone gets into their dorms and interviews them so we can see if it's really that bad of an environment. My other hope is that Jaedong won't make everyone forget how to win again.

Even if a team has 20+ players, not even half of them will ever be played. SKT has 22 members, but only 6 of them played in Proleague in any meaningful amount. Considering the 6 on Team 8 were the best from their respective teams and all regularly played, I don't think that'll be a problem. I mean, you can always send out Jaedong again for the ace ^^

I don't see how the practice environment is bad. The other 3 members were all supposed to be really great practice partners, and they do have a training house. There'll be less PL games played overall this season, so they won't be too stressed or overworked either.

The reason the practice environment is bad is they have to play the same people over and over for practice, making it difficult to get different perspectives for their games. If 6 players need to practice for their game on a specific map, that leaves a very small pool of players to help them practice. Imo, they need a bunch of cheap practice partners that will give them more options even if they can't be fielded.

I'm not 100% sure with the untranslated part but if I took shot at a rough translation:

"The one who led SK Telecom T1 through ups and downs is now looking forward to try and create another legendary team."

Ah, yeah I guess you're right. But I guess they just don't want to risk signing on too many players or overwhelm potential sponsors by thrusting 20 people who need salaries and expenses paid on them. I imagine as soon as they can secure a sponsor, they'll be able to acquire a real B team. Either way, hoping Coach Hoon can pull off some magic and get another SKT-esque megacorp to sponsor.

They only have 9 members but they may have online practice partners as well. Getting along shouldn't be a problem for the players, the MBC and Oz players are good friends.

The biggest hurdle is that they only just started practicing on the new maps as a team. When the new PL maps were released to the teams, players from the 3 disbanded teams were able to get hold of the PL maps through friends in other teams but because they lost their hostels and practiced from home/at a friend's house, they were at a huge disadvantage.

Surely they would be in a position to recruit top Fish players or semi-pros as practice partners in exchange for lodging/future prospects?

There's plenty of B-Teamers out there so I doubt they'd resort to that.
