A few nights ago, I had the immense pleasure of being part of an amazing experience. Call it fanaticism. Even call it religion. But the truth of the matter is, few experiences in life elevate the spirit to such lofty heights. Indeed, if only for the pleasures it brings to body, the involuntary shrills, the tremors it brings to the hands, and how at its peak it petrifies the mind and body, in sheer anticipation of what happens next, truly we can say that it is a religious experience in its purest form.
This particular experience which I referring to is no other than the Ro16 between the God Jaedong and a terran. As luck would have it, I was managing the LR thread and could not keep in real time what Donglings like me are up to at the many points during the event. But simply from watching it on TV, I knew the thread will be full of Donglings screaming, gasping, and holding their breaths as The Dongjwa (an order two infinities higher than mere bonjwas) titillates us with his beautiful game. I knew I had to check back on the LR once it is all over, in particular set 3, where the Dong, ever the brute, plays with our hearts and dances with our feelings.
I beg your forgiveness if I speak much of Jaedong's greatness. You see the truth just has to be said. Very well, let me not tarry now, but instead bring you here this amazing communal religious experience of us, the Donglings.
