However with all respect, that doesn't change the fact that you don't have to be better than someone in order to criticize that person. If that's wrong then 99.999% of the people should never criticize a movie they saw since these people can never even write/direct movies in the first place. Surely the directors of these movies never harmed them or did anything that would affect the people, they just did their best and wrote movies to try to entertain people as well as make money at the same time (which is exactly like progamers). But if someone thinks a movie is bad, there shouldn't be anything that stops him from saying so and criticizing the movie, even with the fact that that person has no talents to write/direct movies in the first place. This same idea applies with any other industries, including Starcraft. Mumuyng lost 0-8 vs Reach (even in Reach's worst matchup), and you're saying people who criticize him are idiots. To translate what you wrote into something we can better generalize: That's like saying anyone who can't write/direct smash hit movies should ever say that a movie they saw is bad and say it, and if they think any movie is bad, they're idiots. Go to Hollywood and become a movie director and make some smash hit movies before you criticize or bash a movie. You can replace movie directors with singers, sportsplayers, products made by any company, authors, starcraft players, or whatever you want in the above paragraph and it would still make perfect sense (or should I say make no sense?). What that's unacceptable is if you say it to his face. For example, going up to a director of a movie face to face and tell him that his movie sucked is rude and unacceptable. Just like going up to Mumuyng face to face and tell him that he sucks as a progamer. That's rude and unacceptable. However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with criticizing him in a forum. Although it is true that there are lots of players who are even worse than Mumuyng, and that mumuyng isn't all as bad as some people are saying he is, there should not be a problem criticizing him if someone thinks so if there's a reasoning behind it. And trust me anyone who criticizes mumuyng definitely has a reason behind it to do so. | ||
