Get Dc++ Mac users can try this: http://sourceforge.net/projects/macdcpp/ Its an alpha version of dc++ for mac and I cant say I know if it works well or not. You may have a hacked DC client or a client that is not allowed in the hub for various reasons. You can get one at http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net If you have DC++, then check settings and "description format". I'll check the log for the reason of this... I never had this error, but I'll try to get around it. | ||

This hub is hosted by replays.hu. The prenick means [COUNTRYID]nick If your counntry id seems to be invalid, please use another one in the list, then msg me in the hub that an id is missing, so I can add them. About share: you don't have to have 1GB VOD, just 1GB useful share (moveis, games etc.) Germans: use [GER] or [DE] Any other questions: contact me here/in the hub/anywhere else | ||

But with my new comp I was able to transfer all of those precious vods on my hard drive. With highly advanced mathematicals processes consisting of additions^^ I made an inventory of what I have: 9.40Gb of vods consisting of 262 vods starting from ''Grrr VS hot'' back in 2000 to NOW There is some 1st person vods and progamers interviews in korean. For now I am very busy with college and everything and there is still some things to fix/install on my new comp before ill be able to share my vods. I think that this vods hub is a good thing so ill try to join it as soon as possible. | ||

To share folders go to: File -> Settings -> Sharing and click on the Add Folder button. You will need to share atleast 1gigabyte but that doesnt have to be vods (movies, mp3 etc.) Also set the number of upload slots. 1 is minum but you can add more if you have high enough upload bandwith. (I have 0.5mbit and I have 9slots) If you cant connect to it make sure you have set your ip-adress in File -> Settings. If you dont have a static ip-adress or are behind a firewall select 'Passive' Instead of 'Active' in the Connection Settings part. Also see to it that you have the latest version of DC++ (Dcplusplus.com) which should be 0.4034. Remeber its DC++, NOT regular DC. | ||

About sharing: to add something to your share, go to settings, share (obvious, huh?) Then Add (yeah right) then select directory Hot77.iEy: something you got wrong about Dyn IP: If you have dyn IP, then you may levae the IP field blank, the hub will fill it. Warning! If you have a wrong IP entered, the hub will disc you without an error message: *** Connected *** Disconnected And of course ther is a method to bypass firewalls with active connection (this is port forwarding). So you can always be active with Dyn IP and you may be active even through a router. DC++ is the most popular DC client (DC is the name of the sharing system, DC++ is a client) You may be referring to NMDC (Neomodus DC) which is outdated (and INCOMPATIBLE!), but still allowed in the hub. I have started an article and FAQ about using DC, I wil make it available soon. | ||

The prenick is just a counter-measure against lames. Anyone who cannot set it right should not be able to use DC anyway... Anyone who says prenick is gay, receives an instant uberlaziness/uberlameness certificate here  Last resort: use [GER]test as nick and you should be fine. Look around and change your nick accordingly. Stricter share check will be annonced soon, as I have fond may useless and even fake shares in the hub. I'm so disappointed to see fakers so soon... Please don't share installed programs! If it is a rip with registry updater, please zip (or whatever) it before sharing. | ||

SoL.Origin. There are many many files being shared in the Hub. Not just the latest starleague vods but old 1st person vods and starcraft movies/clips. Too many and too rare to be shared via BitTorrent. | ||

As for .avi and .mpeg, those files were meant to be used on cds, so if one doesn't fit on a cd, its junk (personally, I haven't encountered many movies which were more than 850 megs so it's not that strist as it seems...) Another modification: min. DC++ version is 0.4xx. This shouldn't be a problem as the first 0.4s were released about many months ago (no one using 0.3xx is online) As for DC for Mac, I never seen it and thus connecting to the hub may be bugged. Please report. I also found this as an alternative for Hot77.iEy's, but as the post say is IS bugged. Also found this, it's the old NeoModus client, it's kinda stable (the very first Direct Connect client was the neomodus) but the older versions are banned (bugged and incompatible data format) I advise all Mac users to use NMDCv2. | ||

-DaJ- The thing about firewall was pretty far fetched since you can actually connect to the hub and download files but yes, there is a windows firewall which is automatically on if not changed. Right click Network neighbourhood -> Properties -> right click on the active internet connection -> Properties. On the last tab (additional settings?, iam not sure) unmark the box. Window's firewall is not good if you have other firewall. Anyways iam sure Delux will take a look at your problem and hopefully unban you and fix the bot. | ||

Now it seems to be bugged (I managed to get the list from one that the bot couldn't), I turned it off until that gets fixed.. - Place a minimal VOD requirement? (many complained about that not everyone in the hub has vods to offer) - Raise/lower the minimum share limit - Raise/lower hub/slot limit and ratio - Raise/lower security (fake checking, connections checking etc) - Or just anything you think is annoying... Like it was said many times (and it is also in the faq), you should leave the IP field first empty, the hub will try to set it for you (and tries to keep it updated too). If it fails, you may enter (I tried to avoid this, so the bot will kick if the IP is wrong and tells you which one to use, but it is not 100% accurate), but you cannot search or download, but your IP will show up in the MOTD. You just enter it manually. The port next to the IP address means the one which will be used for incoming connections, so that you'll be able to download from passive users, make sure it's enabled in the firewall (or forward it if you have a router) | ||

Anyway, ZA should stay put (like you won't be able to resume - bad thing), so I suggest you installing a new one (Kerio, Norton, whatever). Edit: fixed, up and running. It was maintenance (the free speed upgrade will come later - anyway thats very nice of them), but somehow the server didn't restart after the connection was made. | ||

About IP: if you read the MOTD, your IP is shown there... Don't use passive, you won't be able to download from other passive users. Passive mode suck bigtime. | ||

The hub was down... - Sorry, I don't have much time to manage it, as I moved to a dorm where I wont't have access to internet this semester (that will be till 13 dec). I just added one more automatic management tool which hopefully makes the hub running as long as I'm not home. | ||
