Bisu is such a beast. That graph proves hes a baller. Plus you got to love that pie chart for Rolster's wins - Flash lol. (OZ's zerg lol, can't forget Jaedong)
Really interesting. I always love to see some nice statistics. My only minor gripe would be that the pie charts don't have any anti-aliasing, making them kinda ugly, though I suspect the fault lies with whatever package you are using to output the graphs (most don't support simple things like AA, probably because math nerds don't typically care about pretty pictures). If you can output at a higher resolution you could scale them down with a bilinear filter to get the AA anyway though. Just a tip.
Great work though, and I hope we get to see some updates in the future.
1. The "Depth" of STX zerg is seriously underpreforming
2. Turn + Brave are performing the biggest 2 man carry in the league (excluding Jaedong + perfectman because they have carried their team into 10th place.)
He was the freaking god of thunder, he was the next big thing... why is he doing so bad. I hope he gets his game back and start to win again... The protoss race needs him.

ie. SKT1 wins are 50% Protoss, 36% Zerg, 14% Terran from their players.
No, it's not that. I think I put the team balance too close to wins by race chart. It's not about the races, it's about the players. Please see this thread for the team balance calculation.
You can see from the shallow slope of Woongjin's wins how deep a team they are! You can see from the steep slope of Jaedong Oz how undeep a team they are!
I like the way you presented the information, especially the individual player win-loss record. Good stuff.
I still think the "team balance" statistic is kind of dubious though.
Hmm, it also makes it easy to see the breadth of players that are being sent out.
STX is sending out largest variety of players (10)...too bad 3 of them are winless, so it's not really helping. MBC with the least, sending out only 6 different players...only 2 of them with winning records, what a tragedy.

Unfortunately a team with no wins whatsoever would qualify as a "deep" team this way, although it is just in deep trouble.
Ok, so From top-4 teams there are 3 toss oriented + Stars with strong zerg lineup (with Free and Really they are all races around actually). P-teams followed by terran-oriented teams which are on 5, 6 and 7 places
Khan is full of slumping tosses so they on 8. JaedongOZ and Ace are too specific and should be excluded from analyze.
Conclusion: Tosses are imba. Zergs doing fine. Flash and Turn - last terrans standing. Black days for T players T_T
odd to note that fox looks the most balanced in terms of wins by race, when you'd tend to think that they'd be somewhat terran favoured, simply because they have so many of them. pure and shine/roro stepping up i guess.
no prizes for guessing which team has the highest percentage of wins by a given race. lol jaedongoz
That is such an absolutely beautiful data representation. Fucking fantastic. Gosh this makes me want to go play w/ more data visualizations and the like ! :D :D :D

Why's that? Just because he mostly talks about SC2 now doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate BW

The last post I saw from him was in july. I sincerely thought he'd turned his back on the scene. Then again, it doesn't matter, does it?

Thank you man! I'm very pleased. I'll keep this stats up to date.

On the plus side, he should be really cheap for FPL, so if you truly have faith, you have a chance to make out like a bandit.

Thank you. Fixed.
There's some other issues, your numbers don't add up. Oz is 22-33 (for a -11 overall). You somehow have 27-28. You do have the correct W-L per player now (after the JD fix), your totals are just off.
You can really see why woojing stars is doing so well, with a pretty deep lineup of solid players, even when one or two of them looses, the other ones can bring it them back in the game and win the match. Recipe for success.
I guess this is also true for MBCHero and WeMade Fox... But i don't like them as much hahah.
I usually get Bisu and SKT blind in FPL and that didn't work out well for me last season.
Pity FPL didn't start on R1....
Cool charts! Although I know SKT's streak won't continue forever, it still warms my heart to see those nice bars. Soo's rise was certainly a surprise. Same goes for KT's performance.

lol, skt tosses went for a stunning combined 19-4 this round. oO
one thing to note though is how thin the balance in bo7 often times is.... every 2-4 loss of kt or oz could have been a win for them if only one game went otherwise, so they reach the ace where they can send their monster player.
but i love how the oh-so-praised depth of kt is crumbling .... i still remember around the time of the pl finals that all the kt fans were telling us skt fans things along the lines of "our non-star players are much better and more solid than yours, our protoss lineup is stronger than urs."
ya, sure.... 19-4 vs 7-11. i also like how flash went for a fantastic 9-1 record this round and still his team is in 8th place.... basically in 5 out of 9 games, he won his game but his teammates couldnt win 2 out of 5 games...

Excellent graphs/charts. Amazing how Turn is doing for Khan. Hope you do something like this for round two too! Look how far Jangbi and Hiya have fallen.
Now that we have a good solid grasp of the players and where they are currently TL is going to start FPL for Round 2 right? ^^ I mean Liquibet is making me stay awake and watch all these games to see how I do but FPL makes everything even more crazier
Too bad Bisu is going to cost a crap load of points though ...

There isn't. Everyone else outside of these 6 players are either recent draft picks or long-time practice partners. Saint is a good teacher and he's well-liked in the team so it's not bad. He's capable of much better I think but most players don't perform well once they become captain.

(Previous year's stats include Proleague + playoffs, Winner's League + playoffs. No Dream League.) Why?: Why do you keep getting sent out? And then losing? Team out of players, or slumping. JangBi: 0-7 (09-10: 25-23.)
This guy makes me sad for him .. (((((((((((((((((((((

Ideally both, but otherwise just the current round. It's generally more useful to see current stats to see how players are trending.
