Trials, Marriages, Fanmeetings. Anyppi eating Cake. Good byes. The "Light girl" that has been talked about. Oh, and Starcraft 2. Prepare for another Odds and Ends. Also expect terrible, awkward English ahead. Insomnia blows.
Leta joins the "Hundred Million Won" Club.
If rumors about Leta's old salary were true, Leta has tripled his Salary with his Free Agency. His salary is now a hundred million won (84500 USD), with incentives based on the number of wins he gets next season.
The Sparkyz Executive Office's Han Eung Soo commented that "Leta wanted to stay on the team, and the team also understood that how much they needed Leta", adding that "In order to reward Leta for his hard work, and to hope that Leta will lead the team well in the future, we ended up with a 100 million won contract."
Progame teams and Starcraft 2
For the players whose contracts are running out this end of August and did not extend their contract, at least they have Starcraft 2.
Especially, a specific progamer, a Starleague winner, has been revealed to join the Starcraft 2 Clan Prime to enter Starcraft 2 once his contract with his current team ended. Meanwhile, an upper-middle class progamer even demanded compensation for joining a Starcraft 2 league.
Regarding July, Prime's coach Lee Joon Ho has said this. "He is active in the clan, but he's not in our game team [T/N: Prime recently turned into a team]. In the case of July, he is good not just as a gamer but also as a commentator, so I think he has the potential to show the e-Sports industry a lot more. But I'm sure he has something planned. If he folds everything and comes in, then we will accept him, but as of right now, July is not part of the Prime game team."
Starcraft 2 also finally broke gametrics top 10 chart for yesterday. Sadly, WoW resurfaced and took it off the top 10 chart the day after.
5 minute trial
As added before, type-b and go.go has requested a trial, likely to appeal their fines. Apparently, go.go went into appeal because he thinks the fines are too much, and the Judge said that the amount of trust damaged by match fixing is too much, and suggested go.go drop the case. Fomos reports that go.go dropped the trial and moved on. . type-b didn't show up, since he entered the military this past June.
Apparently the entire thing happened in 5 minutes.
It was revealed how much the fines were during this trial. For the rest of the progamers not on the front pages, they will be fined...
go.go: 5 million won + additional 6 million won type-b: 5 million won + additional 6.5 million won Hwasin: 5 million won + additional 6 million won Upmagic: 3 million won + additional 3.5 million won Luxury: 5 million won + additional 7.5 million won Fake Yellow: 2 million won.
CJ Entus, on the 18th held a good bye party for Coach Cho. Attended by CJ Entus's Executive Office, Coaches, and Teams, they delivered a Crest, Flowers, and a present by Iris. Furthermore, the players also collected money amongst themselves and bought Coach Cho a golfball made of Pure Gold.
Coach Cho commented that "I've always been at the position to see people leave, but now that I'm the main character, the emotions I feel is really something. I also didn't dream of the players preparing a gift for me, so I have no idea what I could say" He added that "While I've resigned from the position of a manager, as time goes by, I'll remain as a person who can be of a greater help to you guys so don't worry about anything and concentrate on practice". He then scolded Effort for losing a match in the WCG that day.
First Post Card: Hi Flash, It's me, Violet-hyung. This is the first time I'm writing a letter to someone not my parents. You know, I didn't even write to my brother when he was in the military. I'm writing a letter right now.... you know why right? Let's at least get to the 3rd set... I love you <3

It's July haha
Seeing July playing SC2 should be interesting, anyway. I haven't found too many games of SC2 particularly interesting but I think July could do it if no one else could.

I feel like I remember a thread about a certain "FantaPrime" being July, which was summarily closed when a certain expert supposedly found no evidence behind it...
In any case, FantaPrime is currently something like 9th on the Korean ladder, 34th overall. GL July.

There's no specific evidence FantaPrime = July, that's based on speculation on playxp boards by someone in the Zenith Clan.
All of this is pretty recent statements though (like, < 2 days)

LOL darn
-The reason why Flash lost his Ace matches? He got tackled by Princess in a soccer match with Hwaseung Oz and injured his Arm a bit it seems. Followed by that injury, Flash went on a 6 game Ace match losing streak. But Flash being Flash doesn't want to admit to that and says that "But I won all the regular games" so he denied the correction.
ah i see the truth!
-Best - Fantasy - Canata got destroyed in a 3 vs 5 fan meeting match. WeMade, however, won a 2 vs 5 fan meeting match. This obviously proves that WeMade is superior to SKT, except when we consider Canata was playing it might as well be a 2 vs 5. SKT's fault for picking only guys for the fan meeting match, I guess.
rofl i bet the random fans they got are all B+ iccup -____-
-What happens to s2 when you mispell his name for the eSports Seoul fanmeeting? Furthermore, Fantasy, when asked "Who is the easiest to deal with on your team", he answered "s2 hyung. No offense". Canata dealt the finishing blow to s2, saying that the player who listens to him the most is s2, claiming that "s2 is just an easy guy". "Because he's an easy guy, he's easy to deal with so he listens to me the best". Poor s2.

Fer Rela???????? Explains a lot then. Awesome of Flash not to bitch about ait and use it as an excuse.

It's more a disappointment that people would try to use something so provably false as an excuse for his slumping performance. Having your arm "hurt" because of a soccer tackle doesn't magically make your play inconsistent, especially with different results in the same day, sometimes less than an hour apart.
It's a load of crap.

You'd be suprised, especially at that level when u need so much speed and concentration. On top of that even the games he won were painfully close

I dunno about that. Flash v.s. Ruby was a roflstomp. And then Ruby played Flash almost immediately afterward in ace match and defeated Flash pretty soundly.
Nice that Leta's getting paid a lot more. More evidence it's not Sparkyz that's being sold, although I was pretty sure it wasn't them in any case.

Wrong conclusion! Instead this is obvious evidence that WeMade fans are totally incompetent at playing Starcraft and are easily rolled even 2v5. Do you honestly think a victory 2v5 is more a statement about the skill of the 2 or how horribad the 5 are?
I didn't expect the proteams to embrace SC2 the way your news states after all that conflict, but I guess they see the writing on the wall and the end of Brood War approaching, so SC2 is worth trying to see if it gets an audience?
CJ is obviously one of the teams more open to SC2, with their retention of Idra, the coming OGN SC2 league, etc.

Haha, it's obviously a joke ;D If you read on, you would have known that!

Actually, it isn't that unimaginable.
The injury could make his arm hurt after some playing time, so he could train less. That way, he obviously focused and trained more for the regular matches, because they are going to be played no matter what, while ace match could be avoided if his teammates perform well.
Then when he actually played the regular match, his arm didn't hurt and he had sufficient practice, so he easily won. But his arm started to hurt during that. And here came the ace match. Flash arm was hurting, he couldn't practice enough and was facing opponent who trained specifically to snipe him. No wonder the results were so different!
Also notice how KT complety stopped fielding Flash in the end of the season. Maybe it was because they wanted to give Flash the rest needed for complete recovery.
Why they didn't stop fielding him earlier you ask? Well, Flash wanted to make 60 wins, why not let him to try? Notice how he never played after it was clear he couldn't make it.
And why nobody from KT mentioned it? Well, going to playoffs, you don't want to admit your best player may have some health problems.
Now I'm not saying that's how it happened lol, I just tried to point out that the fact he performed well in regular matches means nothing.
these odds and ends were great!! I would love july as a commentator! hahaa it would be so great!.. SC2 starleague is coming out realy soon.. its good to know that the better players will still go with bw... Coach parks wedding pictures really surprised me i thought it would be much more serious haha hes such a baller.. poor s2.. and light should do something about that girl! so friggen cute...
Lol, so many entertaining things in here. Hope lux/yarnc/gogo/type-b/hwasin/upmagic all get to move on with their life and that this won't haunt them too much once they exit the military (obviously their e-careers are dead, but still).

Well ruby's ruby, he's painfully bad at anything that isn't TvZ, and in the 2nd game he got a pretty big lead early on (flash lost a ton of units in the skirmishes and got contained)
-He only won one starleague. A multiple starleague winner would be mentioned as one, since that's bigger news. -He hasn't been putting up great results lately. Otherwise, his contract would have been renewed. -The league he won was OSL, since Koreans don't call MSL a "starleague".
Following the second point a bit more, it could quite possibly be an ACE player who's getting discharged shortly and whose old team won't pick him up.
I think it's most likely to be Reach. If not, it's likely Anytime.

Don't take it too literally, I summarized a lot of information in that. I'm pretty sure that refers to July.

Reach was excited going back to KT wasnt he?
If its not July and we follow your logic i'd place my money on Mind.
there a place I can watch the 5vs3 (or similar 'fun' games)? I remember watching tossgirl + someone else 2vs3 against fans but they lost pretty bad lol
also that coach's wife is HOT, as is lights fangirl

Hi, TLers, Comet from wfbrood.com Yesterday, I have translated this article into Chinese and posted on wfbrood.com, now I bring the feedback back to here. Many think that Light girl is very beautifull and Leta is really a rich progamer.
there are so many interesting things on the twitter page, like the prime coach interview, the cool interview and iron switching to sc2 which arent translated
i would die for knowing what prime coach and cool said ;;
