JD seems like the kind of person i'd want to be friends with Honestly, I think it's kind of bad-mannered to talk about how badly you played in a game that you won... sure, it's "humble," but it really just ends up sounding more like JD bragging about how well he usually plays. On top of that, it's extremely discourteous to Ssak: If JD claims that he played so badly, then what is he saying about Ssak, who lost to him? I'm not saying that this is necessarily Jaedong's attitude, or that he's intentionally dissing Ssak, or even that what he's saying is incorrect. I still find it pretty distasteful. if you look in the trans "I don't think I can ever show my fans games like this again. I need to go back to the dorm and watch the VODs and study more." a perfect example of a man bragging It's one thing to say "My opponent played really well, but luckily I managed to win"; it's another thing to say "My opponent played really well, and I messed up this, this, this, and this and I swear I'll never play that horribly again, but I still won." The second statement just implies that you're so much better than your opponent that he can't beat you on his best day and your worst day. just the way the said "my opponent played well" and "i was flustered" is praise enough? if anything he is saying he won by the skin of his teeth.
I don't know how much more you want me to dissect theoretical things he could have said. What Jaedong said implies that he considers himself to be much, much better than Ssak.
