Jail these days isn't so much meant to be a form of punishment as a method of keeping the offending individual out of the community. Seeing as it's rather unlikely that someone like Savior will continue to commit the same crime or another crime, there's really little reason to put him in prison. As for some of the organizers, there would be more of a reason there simply because of the reports of them using threats to manipulate the gamers as well as the fact that organizing this kind of activity is something they could easily do again if they were back in society. I understand that you may be offended by this course of events and the scandal, but don't let that color your beliefs in regard to what the punishment should be. Justice should be reasonable and thoughtful, not vengeful.

At least players like Savior, Hwasin, go.go etc. played in high profile games that would allow them to get a large amount of money. I know you weren't implying that he was, but I just thought it wise to discredit the theory upfront before people would get any ideas.

Anyway, this issue makes me wonder if these progamers, now that they tarnished their reputation in the Brood War scene, will try their luck in SC2. Since SC2 (currently) isn't under KeSPA's jurisdiction, they currently have no say in who plays the game professionally. However, I certainly hope they will not be allowed to do so. The last thing a fledging SC2 scene needs is to be negatively marked by cheaters and frauds, just like Brood War was in the early days.
