No. No. Just NO!
SC2 will not kill BroodWar in any way! Korean pros will not play SC2 without LAN-support.

SC2 has LAN-support, albeit Internet-authenticated one like Steam. However, since Korea is one of the most advanced countries in IT coverage and people often play at PC bangs, that will not really present an issue for them. Unfortunately, considering the limitations of IT technology in Cuba, I imagine that it would already be difficult to try and login onto Battle.net to actually make use of the feature (assuming you were allowed to login at all). Haofang has claimed it`s first victims. =/

Anyway, it is preety amazing what Cuban players have been able to set up. I hope the scene stays strong for a long time. One question, though....do you have to resort to using illegal copies of Brood War? I am not trying to be insulting or judgmental. But I imagine it is hard/impossible to get a legal copy on Cuba, considering the embargo.

EDIT: Also, does Cuba have anything like the "Great Firewall of China"? Or does the limited access to IT technology already present a sort of barrier?

We use pirate copies of BW, due to the embargo ofc. Cubans cant get thing bought on shops due to this, so most things here are pirates, if that were to change, we would use originals copies of broodwar, blizzard need support also you know?

I dont understand completely your question, but yeah, i suppose there is a "firewall".

We use pirate copies of BW, due to the embargo ofc. Cuba is incredible good to get everything pirate LOL, the day CoDmw2 hit the stores, we got a pirate copy 3 hours later, nothing here is original.

I dont understand completely your question, but yes, cuba has the biggest firewall ever.

So it is a lot like China in those regards. Not that suprising. Thank you.

Who needs "ping pong" diplomacy when we can 2fac push with siege (then mines)! OBAMA TEAR DOWN THESE WALLS!!! Send Idra over there to settle this beef with Castro. Screw Kissinger.
