tbh if he cant even take pusan he has little chance against an up and coming toss. LOL what up and coming toss are you refering to? any of them? his vP is terrible, and his vZ isnt much better. If he's hoping to get past courage or even just be decent (which he isnt, this show is about publicity) he would need to surpass pusan and shark, who are both hasbeens these days. + Show Spoiler +That's why that mini-tournament on ep 9 is meaningless. Even if he had his license (and thus didn't need courage), he wouldn't be an asset to the team. He's a D+/C- player who has a full time job (and thus isn't useful as a practice partner for the team) and isn't good enough for team leagues (including the dream league). LOL, your post is so funny. How is any random toss that participates in Courage "up and coming"? You have totally missed the point. MBC has never expected him to ever play in the leagues. The whole purpose of doing this show is to raise the profile of the team and raise team morale. He's an asset to the team in this sense. Not as a practice partner or an actual player. It's a psychological boost that they were looking for. And they've got it. So Hyung Jun's been a great asset to the team as far as what MBC needed/wanted. If he wants to win a Courage (which again, he doesn't really, its more about the journey for ratings) he will need to be able to beat scrubs and then some. First round is one thing, but his last opponents are going to know their shit. And no, I didn't miss the point of the show, all I said was that giving him a team license is a waste of a team license. If he were to earn one through Courage (lol), its one thing, otherwise its just a waste. And again, I don't think this show is a psychological boost. Its a ratings boost, it helps MBC (and MBCGame, especially after the crap they took for this past MSL finals), and as for HERO? I don't really think it matters much. Hmm... you still don't quite get the point. But it's okay, you're entitled to your own opinion as am I. =)
Ah, condescension, gotta love it. I'd rather see a team license go to someone who could (and would) use it.

Hello, a quick question.
In episode 6, what's the name of the music they used at 44:04 (when hyung played at courage against protoss ad lost first round)?
Thanks in advance.

tbh if he cant even take pusan he has little chance against an up and coming toss. OSL Ro16 toss > random courage participant More like OSL ro36 embarrassment (who was seeded from last time where he won a few vTs). Did you watch his games against hyvaa? worst.games.ever.
Are you seriously arguing that a random courage protoss is better than Pusan?

Awww emo Hyungjoon. Not that credible though because always smiles after losing.

Any toss he'll meet in ro4 or higher of courage is likely better these days, yes. IMO Pusan wouldn't make it through courage again if he had to (in his current state).

The guy's still decent enough to make it through to the OSL past preliminary stages and offlines. What makes you think he can't win a Courage tournament against no namers?

the two kids they showed at the courage look so young. I was hoping Hyungjoon would crush them. At least beat the first fat kid.

It definetly is a pschological boost at least a team binder allowing them concentrate on someone else who happens to be amiable and friendly pop-star Many corporations pay to do silly stuff together so their employees can have something common besides work to talk about thus greatly improving inside relationships and increasing productivity. I imagine this is even more the case because employees are shy teens spending most of their day playing SC.
So yeah it is definetly good for team.

Judging by the latest episode that each of you has seen, I want to ask something:
Poll: Is Hyungjun better than you at SC? (Vote): Yes (Vote): No
EDIT2: Supposedly, HJ's iccup rank would be around C-

I think some people think A - D are the total sum of skill levels in SCBW. A C player is still much, much better than anything Hyungjoon has displayed in his show.
|
|
He might be able to grind up to C with like a 33% winning percentage, but he's just a D+. He needs to get faster to compete with his teammates.
|
first of all thanks for episode 6 i really liked the episode and imo it was as good as the first three episodes and way better than episode 4 and episode 5. I hope they keep that level of the show now !!!
Hyungjoon is not better than a D+ player. He may win C- from time to time due to his timing all ins and luck but skillwise he is still D+. However with such a great training an some more time he can get up to C / C+ in 2 more months i believe and be even able to win at least 1 game at courage.
