Players who predict Flash will win.
Source: http://www.fomos.kr/board/board.php?mode=read&keyno=103274&db=issue&cate=001&page=1&field=&kwrd=

NC..Yellow: I’ve watched Flash for a long time now, and I know how good he is and how hard he works. I think he will win 3-1. Jaedong and Flash are both awesome players, at #1 and #2 in the rankings, but I think Flash has some great momentum right now. Winning the OSL has taken his momentum to a new level, and I don’t think he can lose with that kind of momentum going.

Much: I predict that Flash will win. The maps are too good for Terran, and Flash has all the momentum going for him right now with the OSL win. I think he will go 3-1 and go on to win the MSL.

Ruby: I predict Flash will win 3-1. That’s what I think anyway. He has so much momentum going following his OSL win. I can’t say I respect Flash based on personal experience (laughs), but watching his games make my jaw drop. Even though his opponent is Jaedong, I think Flash will win and take both leagues.

Kwanro: I predict that Flash will win. I’ve practiced ZvT on the MBCGame maps from the round of 16, and had a lot of matches versus Terran players, and I’m telling you, it’s a damn miracle I didn’t break my keyboard during practice (laughs). It’s just that hard to play ZvT on those maps. Flash has all the momentum going right now, so Jaedong is going to have to put in an incredible effort to overcome Flash. I think Flash will win 3-1, and if Jaedong wins, he’ll barely pull it out at 3-2.

Zero: I agree with Kwanro, Flash is going to win. The maps are too good for terran. Still, it’s Jaedong so I think this series will be very fierce with Flash winning 3-2. Maybe it’s because I’m a Zerg player, but I’m looking forward to seeing what Jaedong play will be like, and I’m just wondering how two of the best players in the world will play a multi-game series, even discounting the result.

UpMagic: I think Flash will win. Jaedong had great momentum when he won two OSLs in a row, but Flash has something even more awesome going on right now. Regardless of the result, it’s going to be a great series, so even as another pro, I’m looking forward to seeing these games. I think there are going to be some really great games.

Really: Flash is probably going to beat Jaedong. If you look at Flash play lately, he’s playing at peak level. He has great management against all three races, and he also has razor sharp timing. It will be hard for him to lose. And he has the momentum of an OSL victory behind him, so I think he has the overall advantage.

Calm: I think Flash will win 3-1. The maps suck, and he has the momentum from OSL.

Leta: Flash will win 3-1 I guess? Jaedong is good at preparing an overall strategy for multi-game series, but Flash has been so good at coming up with a winning game plan as of late. I think it’s gonna be tough for Jaedong.

Go.go: I think Flash will ride the momentum of his OSL win and take this one 3-1. He has such a strong aura around him these days, and he’s just too good. Jaedong is great, but Flash is going to win anyway.

Skyhigh: I predict that Flash will win. He won his second OSL just recently, and his play has been simply insane, as we could see in his TvT and TvZ streaks. I think it will be 3-2.

Effort: Flash will win. If you consider his OSL win not long ago, and the explosive gameplay he’s showing us these days, he has incredible momentum going. Of course, Jaedong is a strong player, but you can’t ignore Flash’s momentum. But then again, you never know for sure with these things. I’m going to cautiously predict a 3-2 win for Flash.

Odin: Well, even though I’m friends with Jaedong, I still think this one favors Flash. In their OSL quarter-final matchup, Jaedong lost because his style had been exposed to Flash. If Jaedong doesn’t prepare really well, Flash is going to win again. I think the score will be 3-2. Jaedong has a good “force” (momentum), but Flash is simply too good, and he won the OSL lately. Also, I think there’s some racial imbalance too, so Flash is probably going to win.

FireBatHero: It’s a really hard question. But I think because of the momentum, Flash is going to win. Game one is going to be the key, and if Jaedong managesto win it there’s going to be some very fierce fighting down the line. But if Flash wins, I think it could end rather easily. Flash has incredible momentum and force these days, so I think he will win.

Sea: I think the games will be really fun. Overall, Flash has the advantage. Terran has an advantage over Zerg, and Flash has incredible momentum from his OSL win. I think if they had played just a little while before, Jaedong would have had the advantage, but it’s different now. Also, the maps are nice for Terran, so I predict a win for Flash.

Mind: I think both players have even momentum going into this, 5:5. While Flash won the OSL, I think Jaedong has equivalent momentum going. The games aren’t going to end easily, and you can expect some really tough battles. But in general, the maps favor Terran. I think that will be the key variable, and I think Flash will take the winner’s trophy home because of that. Overall, I think Flash will win.

Players who predict Jaedong will win.
Source: http://www.fomos.kr/board/board.php?mode=read&keyno=103275&db=issue&cate=001&page=1&field=&kwrd=

Free: Personally, I’d like it if Jaedong won. So many Zergs have collapsed when faced with Flash, and Jaedong was amongst them, but I think if Jaedong gets chance to show his true skill it’s not beyond him to win. Game 1 is the key. If Flash wins game 1, then it will be rough for Jaedong, but if Jaedong wins I think he will be the eventual champion. I just want to believe in Jaedong. Because he’s so damn good!

Shine: Hmm… I think Jaedong has the advantage. Flash has great momentum from winning the OSL, but I think Jaedong is right up there with him. I think he’s recovered his past momentum with his recent ZvP streak, he’s still the #1 ranked player, and I don’t think his skill has dropped off. Also, I think Jaedong has a better schedule, so he will be able to practice more. I think if you combine the factors, I think he should have the advantage against Flash.

Hwasin: No matter how much momentum Flash has, his opponent is still Jaedong which means will always be hard. I think Jaedong will win 3-2.

Canata: I think match point is actually pretty good for Zerg, so I predict a 3-2 victory for Jaedong. Both guys are the best in the world right now, so I hope there will be some fun games. The only person who can stop Flash right now is Jaedong, and it would be no fun if Jaedong let Flash take both leagues.

Best: I think Jaedong will win as well. 3-1 or so? I think Jaedong will lose game 2 on ultimatum, but he will take games 1, 3, and 4 to win. Flash has incredible force after his OSL win, but I think this is going to inspire Jaedong to prepare even better.

Fantasy: I think Jaedong will win 3-2. I also think Match Point is really good for Zerg, which I know from practicing with my teammates. If Flash is aggressive early, I think he can win 3-0 or 3-1, but if it goes to game five, I think Jaedong will win.

Iris: I think Jaedong will win. Both are definitely great players, and I think it will be a close fight that will be difficult to predict. However, I have a strange feeling the Jaedong is going to beat Flash and win. I think it will be a close 3-2 for Jaedong.

Hyun: I think Jaedong will win. If you look at their record excluding their recent OSL meeting, Jaedong is ahead vs Flash. I think if they get the same amount of time to practice, Jaedong will have the advantage. I’ve always had a lot of respect for Jaedong, so I think it will be tough for Flash to win. Jaedong has faired better in multi-game series, so I think he will win 3-1 or 3-0.

Light: I think Jaedong will win. He has so much experience in multi-game series, so he will win even if it is difficult. At best, he could win 3-1, and he could win 3-2 as well. Flash has been doing great lately, but I don’t think Jaedong is lacking in any way against him. Jaedong will win.

Indecisive cop outs.
Source: http://www.fomos.kr/board/board.php?mode=read&keyno=103276&db=issue&cate=001&page=1&field=&kwrd=

Roro: I really don’t know who’s gonna win. They both have a great shot, so I think it’s half and half. I’m really going to enjoy watching this final, as a spectator and not pro. Instead of the results, I’m more interested in a duel between two of the best. I think we will see some unprecedented great games.

Kal: I think they both have a 50% chance to win. Honestly they’re both so good, so I can’t tell who’s going to win. If I had to say one of them had a tiny advantage, I’d say maybe Flash, but I’d like it if Jaedong won.

Yarnc: Flash has got momentum, but he’s still facing Jaedong for god’s sake. If it goes to game five, then I really don’t know. In the case that Flash wins, he will probably go 3-0 or 3-1, and if Jaedong wins the score will probably be 3-2. Match Point is good for Terran, but I think Flash has shown some weakness on that map.

Jangbi: They’re both incredibly skilled, so I think it’s dead even. It will all come down to the maps. I haven’t seen all the MSL maps, but I think it’s better for Zerg overall. I think Flash is in a good position to win. But Jaedong is not your average progamer, so you can never tell how the games will go. Whoever wins, I doubt the score will be 3-0. I think it will end up being 3-1.

konadora on commentators.

▶ Commentator Lee Seung Won (from MBCGame) - Perfect setting for a 3:0 Flash victory.

This finals is very exciting for me because I always wondered when will I ever see these two play in a finals. The sheer thought of the top two players in the KeSPA ranking fighting it out was a mere dream, but now it's reality. And furthermore, I will be personally doing commentary, so I am preparing a lot for it, and I am hugely looking forward to it as well.

I predict Flash to win. Flash is unstoppable right now, and maps are helping him out even further. Match Point is being played twice, and I simply think Flash won't lose at all. I think the key map will be Ultimatum, played in the second set. However, I predict Flash will eventually emerge as the winner, 3:0 or at most, 3:1. Flash has a very high chance of taking this MSL, but should it get to the final set, Jaedong may have a chance. That is because Jaedong's mental strength and concentration grows exponentially as the series progresses, and his management ability is simply amazing. He's not called the "Master of LWWW" for nothing.

▶ Commentator Um Jae Kyung (from OGN) - Even the mighty Jaedong will have a hard time, because it's Flash he's facing.

I said this in a OGN show earlier and I'll say it again, but the most possibly exciting finals at the moment would be Jaedong vs Flash. This is because two of the leaders in the modern age - the "Taek-Bang-Lee-Ssang"'s Flash and Jaedong - are at their peak at the moment.

I predict a 3:1 victory for Flash. If it's Jaedong, he will be able to overcome any sort of map imbalance (TL note: Arena MSL lol), but still, it's Flash he's facing so it will be extremely tough.

Flash is on fire lately. But, if Flash has let down his guard even the slightest bit after his OSL victory, he may lose to Jaedong. That's how strong Jaedong is. Conversely, if Flash still hasn't lost his focus, he will be able to ride on the map imbalance and his current momentum to victory.

MrHoon on Kim Carry.

With the biggest Final of this Era, many esports fans have been asking the same question

"What is Kim Carry's Prediction?"

This is Jaedong's 3rd Final in the MSL, while this is Flash's attempt to win both leagues simultaneously. The Ultimate Weapon/Crooked Kid/Cheddar Terran against the Tyrant/The God of Destruction/Village Drum will face off in the MSL finals this saturday on the 23rd 5PM KST.

This is the first sanctioned BO5 of the LeeSsang Rohk, so we asked our fellow OGN commentator "Kim Carry (Kim Tae Hyung)" what his prediction for this match up was.

"First of all I just want to say, whoever wins this series will be so back and forth. I've been casting this game for over 10 years, and I believe (T)Flash and (Z)Jaedong are the most perfect players of their respective race to ever emerge in the esports scene. Protoss players are not at this level yet so I believe the true protoss era is not here. However Flash represents what a perfect terran player is while Jaedong represents what a perfect zerg player is."

Kim Carry had the follow to say about Flash
"Flash is named the Ultimate Weapon not only because he is what a perfect terran player is suppose to be, but he is so powerful that it seems like there is no definite weakness for Flash."

"Statistics and Data-wise, Flash is obviously much more ahead than Jaedong. Nobody should ever argue about this" said Kim Carry. "However I still believe this series will be taken by Jaedong."

When we asked why he believed this, Kim Carry answered "When Flash knocked Jaedong off the OSL, Jaedong probably practiced this MSL final with killing intent. What Jaedong experienced in the OSL was not failure, but a trigger to what unleashes the Tyrant within"

To wrap it up, "Flash has much better data on these maps and it is obvious the maps are terran favored, however I do believe Jaedong won't have any problem with any of these maps. The games will not be one sided. It will be a rough and disgusting push and pull and eventually Jaedong will be the winner."

So in conclusion: Jaedong is predicted to be the winner

WaxAngel with the overall tally.

You can see that MrHoon and Kona have translated Fomos's long interview series with e-sports personalities, with their predictions for the Nate MSL finals between Flash and JD.

A poster on PGR21.com with the id "V" compiled the results so we can see the results very clear.Source

Announcers
Flash: Lee Seung Won (main MBCGame announcer), Um Jae Gyung (main OGN announcer)
Jaedong: None

Bonjwas
Flash: Boxer, Iloveoov, Savior
Jaedong: Nada

Pro-gamers (no OZ or KTF players are included)
Flash: Yellow, Much, Ruby, Kwanro, Zero, UpMagic, Really, Calm, Leta, Go.go, Skyhigh, Effort, Odin, Firebathero, Sea, Mind
Jaedong: Bisu, Free, Shine, Hwasin, Canata, Fantasy, Best, Iris, Hyun, Light

TOTAL: Flash 22 - 11 Jaedong

Here's some more breakdowns I added for race.

Terran: Flash 11 - 6 Jaedong
Flash: Boxer, Iloveoov, Ruby, UpMagic, Really, Leta, Go.go, Skyhigh, Sea, Mind, Firebathero
Jaedong: Nada, Hwasin, Cananta, Fantasy, Iris, Light.

Zerg: Flash 7 - 2 Jaedong
Flash: Savior, Yellow, Zero, Kwanro, Calm, Effort, Odin
Jaedong: Shine, Hyun

Protoss: Flash 2 - 3 Jaedong
Flash: Stork, Much
Jaedong: Bisu, Free, Best

Amusing points that came to mind: Zerg are the most pessimistic about Jaedong's chances, while Protoss actually favor Jaedong. This is probably because they're the two groups that have been respectively killed the hardest by both players. SKT's two older Bonjwas like Flash, but their four main players think Jaedong will win.

Even with the leadership's shortcomings, I don't think I've ever been as hyped up for a finals as I am for this MSL. It seems like the players agree as well, this is such a rare opportunity and it is hard not to be excited. Not only are two of the best players of all time in a starleague final, they both have been on fire recently (in the short-term, admittedly Flash is ahead here) and there is a great history/storylines leading up to it, with Flash's OSL 2:0 over JD.

I think this only could have been better if the starleague results were reversed (Flash 2:0'd JD in the MSL, and JD had a chance for revenge in the OSL that would net him 3 consecutive golds if he won VS 2 simultaneous titles if Flash won). Not to mention, OGN KNOWS how to throw a damn final

Wow sooo many people say that a) TvZ is imbalanced and B) The maps suck for zerg in ZvT.

You can't do anything about inherent imbalance and I realize its easier said than done but why is it that every year the maps favor a race? Why not just make them equally balanced and if thats too hard, throw in 1 for zerg, 1 for terran, 1 for toss?

Btw seriously, look at all the ppl that say tvz imbalance XD

Wow, I'm impressed to see it all in one place. Thanks for the compilation and thank you THANK YOU for the translations, everyone.

Fantasy evidently has a bit of respect for Jaedong I can't say I'm terribly surprised by the poll results here. Depressed, perhaps, but not surprised.

The Kim Carrier prediction is definitely the nail in the coffin. Sigh.
