◆ Taking care of their bodies? Jaedong only works out his neck? DES= Lomo showed his abs recently.
Jaedong= It's too bad the abs weren't perfect. They used to be a lot better. 3 weeks before we came to Pusan he ate a lot of food at night and couldn't work out because he had to practice.
Lomo= I think Jaedong's trying to make me look good (laughs).
DES= Why did you show them even though they weren't as good?
Lomo= I don't know. When I won, My body moved to the stage and lifted my shirt on its own (laughs).
Jaedong= Probably because he has a good body even with the lack of exercise. I think I would have done such a ceremony too if I had a good body. That doesn't mean I want to work out. I have a problem recently. Whenever I go to the gym or do any type of exercise, I only work out my neck (laughs).
Holy shit look at Jaedong's neck
Lomo= Jaedong has an unusually well developed neck muscles. I think that was because he didn't exercise. The trainer told Jaedong to stop working out his neck (laughs).
Jaedong= My neck and my head are almost getting to the same width (laughs).
Lomo= Hey, that's what your ultimate weapon to make people laugh!
Jaedong= Oh yeah, I accidentally told them (laughs). I think it's because I concentrate during a match that I use my neck and shoulder muscles. I sometimes wonder how I can fix this.
Lomo= I don't think there's a way to fix it (laughs).
◆ A friend who supports in time of need DES= A friend who is always with you is the best friend. What memory comes to your mind when you think of each other?
Jaedong= We didn't have any hard time before. We were always happy, but I think it was tough for me recently. The three losses in the finals and the FA. Especially in the finals I was really sorry for Lomo. He won the 6th set after surviving through a hard match. He had many GG timings, but he persevered and won, but I threw the chance away.
Lomo= I played with all my heart because I thought that Jaedong would take care of everything if I won. I wanted to GG multiple times. I thought that we couldn't lose like this and I continued to play. I endlessly labored the poor Vultures and SCVs. I also felt sorry when Jaedong lost. Thanks to Jaedong we were able to get to the finals, and it hurt me to watch Jaedong lose without being able to do anything. Had I done better in the season maybe Jaedong could have had less stress.
Jaedong= But without my teammates to support me, I couldn't have gotten out of my slump so quickly. They didn't blame me for my losses and supported me. During the FA Lomo helped me get through the hard times. I didn't want to think about anything so I went to Ulsan and had some liquor with my friends. My phone was dead so I couldn't answer my teammates' calls. After I got home and turned it on, I found out Lomo had called me multiple times and even sent me a message "Are you okay?". I was really thankful.
Lomo= I felt bad for Jaedong then. He had such a hard time. But even then, I knew we would meet again. I'm happy Jaedong was able to get through it.
Jaedong= I had a hard time recently, but Lomo had a hard time too after his match against Kwanro in the MSL.
Lomo= Ah! I still get sad when I think of that game.
Jaedong= He had such a hard time. Usually he's good at controlling his feelings, but he was pulling his hair out after he lost. It was on Destination (Game). It looked like he won the game, but he ended up losing. After that game, he went through a hard time. After dinner I couldn't see him so I texted him "where are you?". He replied "I'm going to Hangang (Han River)." It must have been really tough on him.
Lomo= From the Hero Center to the OZ house we pass by Hangang. I wanted to get off the van and jump into the river. That's how hard it was. I couldn't eat or play normally after that. That's why I told Jaedong that I was going to Hangang.
Jaedong= When Lomo is having a hard time he often goes to Montmartre Park behind the house. I knew he was lying when he said he was going to Hangang. I went to the park and he was sitting there. I sat next to him and talked to him. I don't remember what I said but I remember Lomo was able to regain his strength and get up.
Lomo= I don't remember it either but Jaedong helped me a lot.
DES= After that day how did Jaedong help you? Did he practice with you a lot?
Jaedong= I can't help him if he doesn't make it into any individual leagues (laughs). I help him when he needs it (laughs).
Lomo= That's true (laughs). There aren't that many players that make it to the individual leagues so we don't get to practice with Jaedong that much (laughs). Last season in Proleague, Jaedong had to prepare for two sets every match so he didn't have time to help any other player practice.
Jaedong= My heart is always open. If any Hwaseung player asks, I can help him practice. But nobody asks me. Except BackHo.
Lomo= That's because Hwaseung players are angels!
Jaedong= Does that mean whoever asks me for practice is the devil? (laughs)
◆Hard times from misunderstanding? DES= Whether it's true or not, people misunderstood the ABC Talk and the Supper Drop and thought you two had a relationship. How did you feel then?
Jaedong= I hated hearing "gay" even if it was a joke. I couldn't stand the people that would make fun of a friendship between men. I got really angry.
Lomo= I was a little annoyed too. We were only friends but some people said really harsh things online. But we it didn't become awkward between us because of that. Jaedong has a hobby of lying next to people when they're about to sleep and bother them asking "What're you doing?" (laughs). He was just playing around but the video made us look weird.
Jaedong= And ABC Talk coincidentally came out on the same day (laughs). The fans were guessing who the players that kept each others pictures from the ABC Talk, and after that video was released, they were sure that it was us. I didn't know what to do (laughs). We had to say that it wasn't us in another video (laughs). We're really just friends so I hope nobody says anything about that anymore.
Lomo= So stop fooling around in bed. It will solve everything.

REALLY GAY STUFF Jaedong + Lomo: We're not gay! MORE REALLY GAY STUFF
Seriously. But they're really pushing it. I know that male friendship is acceptable to a larger bounds in Korea than it is in other parts of the world, but if even Koreans are questioning their orientation, then their friendship must really be something else, right?
This interview is the most hilarious one I have ever read. Up until the interviewer finally asks the question the whole talk seems like they are a couple, and they can't answer a single question without hinting at a gay relationship.
Hahaha, Jaedong and Lomo are so sweet together. Jaedong's like "I knew Lomo was lying so I went straight to the park and comforted him, didn't I Lomo? :3"
Again, I think its really sad that they consider it a smear, feel free to deny your fucking each other, but god damn your not making it easy for yourselves even with Asian standards of what is considered gay and not, so come back complaining that everyone thinks your cutest gay couple ever, when you don't; cuddle each other at proleague, talk like a married couple in interviews and don't insinuate that you sleep in the same bed.
(although I rather you didn't because your the cutest couple in Starcraft, only challenged by Last Romantic and SOG.)
In Korea, males can be very close to each other, physically and emotionally and not be considered gay.
However, once you cross the line that makes you unquestionably gay, many people will be extremely cruel and hateful towards you (compared to so called liberal countries, like the USA or certain western european countries). In order to cross that line, you'd have to do something fairly drastic, like actually suck a dick or take it up the ass :O
Jaedong= I can't help him if he doesn't make it into any individual leagues (laughs). lol and Lomo dropped from OSL and MSL once again, as did HiyA ;p JD doesn't have to help he's poor teammates..
I mean, seriously, what's so bad about being gay? suum cuique.
I love how everyone (in western countries) says he is so open-minded and liberal, but still using gay or homosexual as an (serious) insult or make fun of it. fuck that. (The same does apply for insults like jew or something.)

no lol
nobody is trying to belittle them, its just a very funny topic. also, people arent making fun of homosexuality, they are making fun of two dudes with an odd (and possibly homosexual) relationship. in my eyes, there is a big difference

Who here is insulting them? I know JD isn't gay and if he were I wouldn't really give a shit; it's a joke.

I think anyone who thinks that the foreign community calling Jaedong and Lomo gay is wrong is slightly missing the point, I know no one (or I don't notice anyone) who uses gay in the negative context when applying it to JD and Lomo, and I'm pretty sure that the rumours that they are replying to at least, come internally from Korea, who most likely do mean it as a smear.
Lets just put this way, I can understand them denying them having a sexual relationship and that's totally fine with me, and then the only negativity comes from the people who think its wrong to be gay. Imagine it like this, man A and woman B are best friends, they go drinking together, they laugh and generally have a good time together, is it really damaging to suggest that they love each other, clearly it isn't, and is funny to laugh when they not only outright deny having a relationship, but also out-rightly deny that they even have any attraction for members of the opposite sex.
Its the famed clash of cultures between Korea and Foreigners, for us it okay for them to be gay, for them it isn't.

Thanks for the translation!! Looking forward to part 3 ^_^!
Has part 3 for type-b and Yarnc interview been out yet? Or did I miss it?
It's out, but Type-B and Yarnc gets like 2 lines each and there's a page of the interviewed describing what happened. I forgot about it, I'll get it out tomorrow if I have time.

Oh ok no rush. Thanks again for translating all of these! They're definitely the most interest interviews I've read from the proscene.
They are not gay or anything, they are probably just REALLY close friends that have been together through thick and thin and therefore forge this everlasting friendship.
