Introduction: Hello TL, I’ve made a new account to be anonymous, as you guys can see I only have one post. I have read many girl blogs in TL and I’ll be honest, I enjoyed them a lot. Sometimes because they reflect my personal “love-life” and other times... simply because they are interesting. Anyways, I never thought of writing a girl blog myself until now... I think it would be a great way to take out what is on my mind with you folks and clear my head a bit ! With that said, what I’m about to say, or write, is 100 percent real. Believing me or not, it is up to you; however, I do hope you guys enjoy it.
Note: This is not a girl blog about my girlfriend or interest, nor is it a blog in which I rant, QQ and expose the deepest and most emotional feminine part of my masculinity because a girl broke my heart (also known as the Steven Syndrome) ... rather, this is a blog about an incident or event that happened in which I wanted to share with the community.
Part 1: [First Encounter]
I am currently 17 years old Chinese American living in California and I will become a senior after this summer. I met this girl (asian : let’s call her Eve) in my second semester Sophomore year because my girlfriend at the time introduced me to her; they were supposedly best friends from their sport. I was not attracted to her, even though many guys think that she is cute. She had gone to every single dance in our school since freshmen year and was relatively popular. After this, nothing much really happened between us other than becoming Facebook friends and saying hi once in a while when we pass by in school. Again, this blog is not about an interest … the incident is yet to come.
Part 2: [Junior Year]
As addicting as it is, Facebook really is a good networking tool. I do not recall how Eve and I began chatting with each another and texting, but I believe it was because we commented on our mutual friend’s status. The rest came very fast, we traded AIMs and later our phone numbers because she still wanted me to text her when she got off the computer. I have to assert that ,at this point, I had no interest what so ever for Eve. She seemed a really fun person to talk to and I simply enjoyed her company.
Part 3: [Initiation]
One of the main highlights of my Junior year was my involvement in our school’s - let’s say science - team. Coincidentally, she also made the team. Soon, we became very close friends and entrusted each another with basically everything. To me, she was a very good friend... but nothing more than that. It is also important to know that, at this point, I was somewhat still involved with my girlfriend that I mentioned earlier. Nevertheless, we broke up at the end of Sophomore year and we only began to talk once again during Junior year. So at this point in time, all she was was an ex who I still talked to because I enjoyed her company. Basically, I was single. I guess I’m not very good at detecting girl’s signs of interest because one day she decided to put her head on my shoulder and linked her arm with mine and I was shocked by her action. Until that point, I thought our “only friends” relationship was mutual. That was obviously not the case...
Well... after this first time, she did small yet noteworthy attempts that I consider flirting. Junior year is obviously very busy and I didn’t give much thoughts to her in regards to her attempts to flirt. To be honest, I enjoyed it. Even though I was not attracted to her, it definitely feels good or special to know that someone likes you ^_^ .. I mean.. it’s High School right?
Part 4: [Sleepover]
So I decided to have a sleepover party at my house for our “science” team since my parents were not home. A sleepover with more than a dozen people? Obviously nothing would happen... right?
We played games, watched movies and had fun as a team. It was getting late and everyone was around the TV watching House or something and I get a text from Eve... who was sitting only a few people away. I was mildly confused, for she could have easily said whatever she needed to say. I opened the text message and the conversation went something like this:
Eve: Hey =) I’m getting tired, let’s go sleep in your bed upstairs!
(upon reading the text I was like :O)
Me: haha okay, uhm right now?
(me trying to act casual)
Eve: well, we could wait ? Okay, how about when everyone else goes to sleep..
At this point my male hormones kicked in, yet I did not want to show it .. haha. I simply told her okay.
Anyways, after a bit, we went upstairs (our timings were different to not attract attention to the other members of the party) and it seemed that our timing attacks for the stairs were successful, for no bunkers or wall-ins by our friends were seen.
We found ourselves ON the bed at first, not IN... not yet. We chatted about school, life and friends...
After a bit of talking, ranting and gossiping (from Eve), we got tired and decided to get inside the bed to get ready to sleep..
We soon proceeded INto the bed and we tried to steal the blanket from each another - ”Flirting” many of you guys might call this ...aha.
We ended up sharing the blanket. My bed is a Queen sized one so we had plenty of space between us. She was constantly poking my face or messing with my hair and I hid my head under the blanket... and she soon followed.
Let me give a clearer description of what is happening right now: She and I were under the blanket of a Queen sized bed, with the door closed and the rest of the people either asleep or downstairs. My parents were not home and it was her idea to go upstairs to my bed. She was relatively cute, and even though I was not particularly attracted to her, her physical appearance was still decent and somewhat desirable at that moment. Call me shady or what not, but guys just work like this.
And so , in the darkness of the blanket and the night, we cuddled in an awkward yet comfortable way. We were facing each another and she started by putting her arms around me and I casually responded by laying my hand/arm on her shoulders. Her face was getting closer and closer, and she ….
I woke up the next morning, wtf happened..?
A rush of memories came back and I didn’t know whether to laugh or Q_Q …
Apparently , I fell asleep … before anything happened. I remember the drowsiness that had overtaken me at that moment due to the sleepless night of the day before due to excessive StarCraft.
At that moment, I looked down beside me and there Eve was, sleeping soundly...
“fuck..” I thought, “Cock-blocked by sleep”...
The next day, when we all went home, Eve texted me talking about all the possibilities that could have happened that night...as if taunting me or making me feel regretful that I feel asleep. She seemed very mad about me falling asleep...
After this incident, nothing of this sort ever happened again. Whether it was because there were a lack of opportunities or because she was still mad at me about that night, I do not know.
Now, she has a boyfriend.
I’m sorry if you find this very anti-climatic, but the truth is the truth.
[Conclusion]
Good folks of TL,
If you read this , first of all, Thank you for reading this blog and second of all, what do you think about this event? Did I fuck up ? Or was it good that our paths did not intertwine. What if the incident did occur? What would have happened?
Thanks again (:
Feel free to post your thoughts! Cheers.
edit: fixed some spelling errors lol
