So I had known about TL for a long time, but I never made an account because there was nothing on here for me to talk about. BW and SC2 were too hard for me, I didn't really play either beyond like 2 games. I watched a couple matches with my friends here and there, clicked on some threads they linked me, but I never really got into it. I finally decided to make an account a while after the LoL subforum was made - so no, I didn't sign up for this site for starcraft at all, but for LoL

Sorry if you ever had the misfortune of playing starcraft with me, I tend to panic if I don't have someone telling me exactly what to do and I end up doing weird shit that makes 0 sense because there is a lot to do in the game it's not like neopets

Now for the most important part, how I got started on kpop! I like the KMD thread here a lot, it's always up to date and has a lot of funny and interesting people. I first got started on kpop on the day or the day after the MV for Rainbow's To Me was released.

I used to think kpop was stupid like a lot of people, but this video was super catchy and I got into it and started pressing play over and over again. I told my friend Tommy about it and he laughed at me and said he never thought I'd listen to kpop or something... anyways he linked me these two songs:

I got into those really quickly too, and downloaded the mini album and the full album. 2NE1 quickly became my favorite kpop band, I like pretty much every song they put out so far. For a while I only listened to Rainbow and 2NE1, and I didn't know much about the whole kpop world. Then I started listening to new kpop - the first song I listened to obsessively on repeat was Roly Poly because JIYEON, I shared this addiction with cool guy TWODOWN

This was the song that first got me into live perfs - I watched each new one obsessively as it came out. I've probably watched each Roly Poly perf at least 10 times. Then Bubble Pop came out, which all of my guy friends loved, so I kept a catalog of all of Hyuna's perfs of that too. And I remembered seeing Feedfest watching a dance cover of Ma Boy on stream, so I hunted down that song too. I started to download new kpop songs as they came out, and a shoutout to Tony sending me Kara's Mister

Less than a month ago I started listening to older songs from the groups I really liked, and T-ara's first album is just amazing, almost every song on it I love. For a long time I only listened to girl bands until Super Junior's Mr. Simple came out. As much as I tried to avoid it, I was starting to love the song. The member I really took a liking to was Heechul (keep in mind I am seeing him with not long girl hair ok I didn't know about that until later U_U) but then he went to the army, gg. But this opened me up to other cool songs like U-KISS' Neverland and Infinite's Paradise

I will also devote a paragraph to how much I <3 Girl's Day, Girl's Day is wonderful and amazing and all of the members are cute and I <3 Girl's Day very much. Especially Sojin.

Also my first korean song ever, I won't spoiler this because you should listen to it. Props to Cow for showing me this one, I have not forgotten it ;P

Also T-ara contender for #1 favorite group. I think the reason why I've gotten like 200 posts in the last 2 weeks is due to 2 or 3 LoL tournaments on consecutive weekends, and me posting more on the KMD thread. My friend supposedly went to the same school and Nickkhun (god damn I don't remember how to spell his name)

SNSD: Ah... there was while back where I spammed Soyeon pics in the middle of a SNSD argument. I kind of want to say how I feel about SNSD, because I am not an anti, even though I might come across as one. I love Gee and INTW and Genie. I just don't think as a whole any of the members stand out looks-wise, and only one stands out vocally. I'd pick out Jessica as my ezpz most attractive, and Taeyeon as my next, but honestly Taeyeon is so far behind I really don't like her that much at all. The rest are barely worth mentioning. This sounds very anti-y but it's why I act like I don't like them that much, I don't understand the attention they get.

2NE1: My first girl group, I will always love you even though everyone thinks you are ugly. Minzy is turning out really well, amazing dancer AND singer.

SuJu: Yes I thought they looked gay and stuff and then HEECHUL!! But now I can't really pick out a favorite so... Idk...

B2ST: Why does everyone like Yoseob he looks funny.

T-ara: I love this group a lot, I think everyone is pretty (even Hwayoung, but she is by far the ugliest, I just hate her raps and I think that makes her ugly). I love Soyeons voice and I love their music.

Miss A: I am Chinese, so I'm super excited about Fei and Jia. They're also a consistently good group - all of them can sing, dance, and look good.

Girl's Day: Sojin

After School: Everyone on AS is beautiful, like exceptionally so, especially Nana.

The results displayed in the graph are too clear to be ignored. Obviously the cost of living cannot sustain this instability for long. A sharp down turn in middle class investment may lead to changes in the market.

Political Factors

Politics - smolitics! Comparing unichan and much of what has been written of it can be like comparing unichan now, and its equivalent in the 1800s.

To quote the famous political Francis Rock 'People in glass houses shouldn't through parties.' [2] I couldn't have put it better my self. When it comes to unichan this is clearly true. Both spectacular failure and unequaled political accomplishment may be accredited to unichan.
The question which we must each ask ourselves is, will we allow unichan to win our vote?

Conclusion

In my opinion unichan has played a large part in the development of man in the 20th Century and its influence remains strong. It sings a new song, 'literally' plants seeds for harvest, and never hides.

KMD thread is like it's own TL subculture, I love it. Great blog! I love reading how people got into kpop and what they like about it. I don't always agree with you(SNSD!) but I'm with you on T-ara. Those girls are awesome. Roly Poly was addictive as hell.

Haha i am the good sir "Cow" referred to in this post. Back when unichan first started posting i scoffed at her and thought she wasn't serious about TL. And now shes a vulture and after 3 years of lurking TL, im still an SCV.... ';.;

I'm so embarrassed and sad at the same time haha. Maybe i should actually post more

lol, that song was my first exposure to kpop, at the 2009 Ever OSL iirc. It was the first OSL I watched live and opening with that kind of performance was enough for me to check out the music scene. 2ne1 is great, I don't get why everyone finds them ugly either.
