Well. tonight was a tipping point. Ive been pretty lost since my gf broke up with me. id been with her so long i kinda forgot myself. ive lost friends because since i had her i didn't need their support, and they (for other reasons) didn't need mine. anyways. tonight i was out walking in the city at 4am ish....half hoping id get mugged and stabbed or something i guess. i listened to a song right before i left. Master of the moon. . i had kinda previously just kinda randomly accepted an invitation to move in with some friends of mine to the city....i thought it would be cool, and it is, dont get me wrong guys....anyways....pretty muc hwe play starcraft, job hunt, and hit on girls. which just isnt really me. this song kinda reminded me that i was taking the path of least resistance....again....so i decided to change my life tonight. tomorrow, im going to go home, make 800 dollars, and then gas up my car and leave. im going to go after the girl of my dreams. i live in Alberta , canada, and she lives in southern usa roughly 2000 miles away. i've known her for 5 years and she has been pretty consistently the most positive force in my life. ive never met her though weve talked about how awesome it would be 10 000 times. i know if i dont see her ever, ill regret it. i decided that im too young to start living as the world expects me to. still too young to give up on something because it seems impossible. so im leaving tomorrow and i'm going to do it. i dont expect to marry her, or make love to her, or even date her. wounds from last relationship still pretty raw....not ready for that. shes just been my constant companion, and i want to see her. i think even if things go shitty between me and her somehow (though i doubt that) the trip will be the thing thats of real value. im hoping it will teach me what kind of individual i am, outside a relationship. i kinda forgot what its like to live in the real world so im looking forward to that as well. i deleted my facebook. keeping my email online so my fam doesn't think im dead. no cellphone. keeping my tl up, because i just love this place, and will come back one day.

I love you guys. My bro might read this, so dont worry about me bro. you know who you are.

anyways. wish me luck guys. ill check back here a couple times before i leave to answer questions and stuff.

I don't like being harsh, but you need it. Your plan is stupid and ill advised. Right now you are emotional over the break up and don't have your head screwed on right. Get over your emotions about the ex, if you have to cry about it, go ahead, but don't just decide to drive 2000 miles to see some girl you've never met before. You have better chances getting together with a girl of your dreams in your own city.

In spite of my criticism, I wish you good luck in whatever path you choose to take (or not take).

awww. Good luck Gprime! Your video on my 'ladder guilt' blog made me smile. i hope you smile too upon meeting this girl. i think its great that you are making positive moves towards something else. you really need to make a change for things to change.

As everyone's saying: though I don't know if this is the greatest idea, good luck, and I hope things work out well for you.

IMO, even if you're in a relationship that's going well and you don't need anyone else, you should always, at least a little bit, stay in touch with your friends.

last night before i fell asleep i realized i should have thought this through more. its not an awesome idea. still going on a road trip. dunno about the woman thing tho.

edit: Rash decisions are rash. im going to think about it for a couple days, while i make the 800, then see if i still feel the same way. making a big decision on a whim while in a wierd state emotionally isnt always a wise decision.today i woke up and was like. well shit>.> need to plan it out more solidly if this is something i want to do.

Good luck if you decided to carry out your plan. I think the road trip its self would be the best part, but to be honest, your plan reminds me of some not so well thought out teenage movie. It would be interesting to see what happens though, so you should definitely write up something after, just so we can see what happened

thats what i was thinking. the girl is really just an arbitrary idea to motivate me t o make a trip. its really the trip thats most important. kinda like how in the hobbit the real adventure was getting to smaug and then home. there and back again. thats all i really want to do.
