I've kept my advertisement restricted to the free coaching thread, but I've decided to start a blog in hopes of finding students who really WANT to improve.
I've worked at least an hour with 10 students. Four of which, repeat sessions and two of which i worked with probably at least 12 hours total each.
I love coaching. I went into the University of Louisville as an education major. I did a lot of tutoring throughout high school, and I worked at the YMCA for 5 years as a youth counselor and referee for their sports program. So naturally, teaching others and helping them along is something I enjoy.
A lot of people interested in 'free coaching' messaged me, we'd get into the lobby and they had no idea what they wanted to work on. I'd play random, tell them what race I got from the start and I'd focus on evaluating their play. From there we'd watch the replay together and find holes, little tweaks that can be made, and just work on improving their overall play. This worked okay for some, but more often than not, they didn't know what they wanted to improve and aside from a few little tips that could've just read here on TL - they didn't absorb much.
My three repeat students however, knew right from the start what they wanted. I need help PvX, I need help defending this build, I need help keeping my macro up during battles, etc. We worked those out and I only heard good things about them.

This is one of those three, we started in Silver and after a long session he laddered the next day and was promoted to Platinum. More importantly than being promoted, my three 'star students' felt they were getting better and having more fun as a result.
My hope is that through this blog, I can find more people serious about trying to get better that I can help out.

I haven't really laddered yet.. if at all (im stuck in the phase of 'what do I really wanna play' for races.) But I'd consider myself hardcore bronze (this is my first real RTS that I want to play against other people) so if you want to pick up on a fresh newb for you to coach, and your friend im game. hey clicker i am a relative new comer to the star craft 2 game owned the game for about a year but was a semi pro in mw2 and blacks ops so never really played. I have decided to take my gaming to starcraft2 because of not only love for the game but i want to be the best. Being inspired by the latest MLG in ohio. i want to climb the ladder and become a truly great starcraft2 player. i am currently in the silver league, i know it will be a rough road but i know i can do it.i know that alot of my game is pretty bad at the moment but i would most like to improve my macro game while in battle as well as get better at my micros(force fields blinks and the like) i know i can do it all i just need a coach to tell me how to do it. i would greatly appreciate any time you could give me.

Hello Clicker,
I am currently in top 8 bronze and have been trying to ladder but failed desperately, I know the basics and fundamentals but don't know how to defend some things, keep my macro up, build building while fighting, and a lot more lol. If you could help me that would be greatly appreciated!

hey, waitforit.108 is my username/code, im gold, been moving up lately but i do find my macro slips while battling and im bad against early terran pressure and sometimes forget to do certain things or my timings are off, against zerg im not terrible but obviously im gold so i could use work against good zergs, hoping you can help if you arent busy sometime
