I was watching Toy Story earlier today (yes, alone) when I suddenly realised something.
The name of the 'bad guy' for Buzz Lightyear is zurg. I giggled. I guess that's why Blizz changed the name. I think I know which one I'd be more scared of.
This is a blog for the reason that it's probably been posted already, I just couldn't find it.

Some sports have rivalries. Some countries have rivalries. England has rivalries with just about everyone in just about everything. You might think that Germany is our #1 enemy. You're wrong...
THE RIVALRY
Possible embedded video outlaying the rivalry with sports clips and some SC2 stuff.
The first time Australia beat England in a major sporting event symbolised the death of English cricket. This was way back in 1882 when the Australians beat the English at cricket. The nation was so distraught that they burnt down the stumps and they became a trophy that each country would try and claim. Fast-forward 130 years and nothing has changed. England and Australia constantly find themselves battling eachother in just about every sport you can think of. Being a proud Englishman, who knows a proud Australian, it was only a matter of time before we brought this to StarCraft 2. Yes we live on opposite sides of the world, but our rivalry knows know bounds. We've assembled the best players, got our own format and it's time for five weeks of some good ol' NATION WARS.
THE PLAYERS
Pictures, links, files, interviews, etc. Hype hype.
BROADCAST
Now there's one thing that always happens in big matchups. Arguements about luck. Now if a whole series can be decided on lucky perfect Drop-Goal then it's only going to cause bickering. This is why we've got 5 days of Nation War action planned out over five weeks. Kicking off with a Showmatch between none other than  MoonGlade and DeMusliM and rolling through formats until our Winner's League Bo7 on the final day, check out the Schedule Below!
Week 1: Bo5 Showmatch
Week 2: 2 Player Format
Week 3: 2 player Format
Week 4: Bo5 Showmatch
Week 5: Team finals, proleague/winner's league
Forunately, the English and Australians can get on just long enough to cast together which is why we've got the best of both countries!

FORMAT
The format for the event is simple. Each game won is worth points and the team with the largest aggregate score at the end of the event is crowned winner. Each map won is worth points so every game counts.
Pairs Format
This is a simple format we devised for this event to have a team play but without the need for large numbers of players online at any one time. It's simple really, each team has two players who will play alternating Bo3s with the other team. For example:
Team 1: A, B
Team 2: 1, 2
A v 1
B v 2
A v 2
B v 1
If the teams are 2-2 overall, an ace match will be played between one player from either team.
Scoring
Bo5s - First map win is worth one point. Second map win is worth two and third is worth three.
Pairs - Each map win is worth one point. Winning team gets two bonus points.
WL - Each map is worth one point and the winning team gain four bonus points.
GET INVOLVED
Information about facebook, etc, votes, twitter and all community involved stuff.

One of the original names was Zurg.

Zerg was named Zurg before, the reason they changed the name was since they didn't want to get into any lawsuits.

Blizzard changed it from Zurg to Zerg actually to avoid copyright issues iirc

Although Zurg is a bad name, I imagine people would still perfer it over their pre-Alpha name...the Nightmarish Invaders. If that name stuck, Zerg progamers today would be called "The Knights of NI".

While Zerg can do whatever they want and win since low-level Protoss are so damn vulnerable when doing a Forge FE. Cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it.
