EPTMakes me feel as though I'm worse than what people call a "noob".
But this season, when I have way more time than I do during the school year, I thought I'd mass games, give ICCup another go.
At first, I didn't have any progress; I'd lose one, win one, lose a couple, win one, etc. You know how it goes.
So while in the middle of my slump, I played a Terran guy who inspired me: he told me just keep playing, and keep my attitude toward SC positive. And that helped. A lot.
So I kept massing games, losing a few, winning a few, but I never gave up. Ever. I kept saving my loss replays, watched them over, see what I did do right, and point out more points of what I should've done. These were usually the same mistakes I usually make.
And then these last two days, something clicked in my PvT(I've been playing a lot of PvT), and all of a sudden I started seeing changes.
For one, my APM just spiked. I've been playing at 110 APM or so, w/ 120APM being my max. For the last 10 games or so, I've been consistently playing above 150+ APM.
I also noticed I knew what I was doing, at least a lot more than I used to; I kept macroing like a mad-man, scouted with my observer, and if Terran didn't have enough units, I just attacked him, with more units streaming from my base. If he moved out, I caught my opponent off-guard, and took out his whole army, and streamed my units in while constantly macroing.
As a result, my games have all been around 15 min. I took out my opponents' first push and just streamed in.
I've also finally reached D+ rank, which I'm happy with. But the thing I'm most happy about is that I am actually starting to understand what I'm doing. Even though it's only a minute part of the whole match-up of PvT, and I don't know most timings, if not all timings, I still feel like I'm starting to get there, one step at a time.
