When you get killed in EVE, your ship blows up and you lose everything on it, you appear in ure escape pod and you fly the hell away. Its important you fly the hell away, because while you can insure your ship and get some of the cash you paid for it back, you cannot insure those expensive bio-implants in your head. If your pod gets killed, your character is cloned back at a station, but depending on how much you spent on filling your brain up with toys, it can be verry costly. Stealthblue lost 285 million worth of implants, which is a considerable amount of money. | ||

Also to add to what Fen mentioned. In PvP you can loot the wreckage of the guys ship you just blew up and grab some of the parts he had on to sell/equip yourself. So there is an actual benefit for owning some nub. Podkilling however, has absolutely zero profit in it. All that happens is the pod and pilot are destroyed. | ||
