I sometimes have an itch to write, even though I'll likely abandon it less than halfway through. In this case, I have a general idea of an intriguing plot. But the plot doesn't require a lot of choices, like the name of the characters, the setting, some of the choices, etc. etc. etc. So here goes nothing: Help me decide what to write!
This is not a democratic thing, so please just post your ideas below.
The plot will vaguely go along these lines:
The setting is a continent with vaguely historical countries.
The time period has to be some point during/after the Renaissance.
The introductory character is an economist.
The overall tone of the piece will be dark humoresque with political commentary.
Please, cast your ideas for the following three things for the novel. The first passage will be displayed when I have found and worked in the requests.
If you insult my girlfriend or my family I will ban you from my blog.

When you say write, do you mean a real novel, or a story that you will post on fanfiction or livejournal. Just curious.

It should be about a guy who is always calling people and his girlfriend is a member of his family.

You should write a story about Great Patriotic People's Republic of Liquidgrad. The economist's name can be Chezama.

Do not wait for people to post ideas. Write some words.
(If you really need a cue, write a scene in which your protagonist is visited by a door-to-door chamber pot salesman. Now hop to it.)

You'll have to bump your time period up at least to the Enlightenment. There was little theory before the physiocrats, and certainly no such thing as an economist.

Heres a great idea for a novel it is set in WWII pacific theatre a group of British POW's start building a bridge for their Japanese captors meanwhile a group sets out to destroy said bridge.
