The next time you see her, pretend that you didn't know her dad had a stroke. Be like, "Oh I thought you meant it like he was really upset, like 'omg, my dad's going to have a stroke when he finds out about whatever,' but I guess he had a real one, which makes a lot more sense because you said he was in the hospital. So... that sucks... for you I mean... and your dad too..." Wait until the silence becomes unbearable. Then walk awkwardly away and never contact her again.

I dont know, making a move could backfire (it depends on your previous relationship with her) imagine if you were a confiding in someone and all of a sudden they try to make a move. you just lost a good friend. be careful, if it were me i would let one of her other friends console so you never establish a "best friend" relationship. My 2 cents, but then again i'm 17 so wtf do i know, go nuts.

No i actually like her dad, hes a nice guy, and I care about her and her feelings. I dont think she needs any consoling, at least it seems she is not to troubled. She said he is still having trouble talking but he can walk and stuff, so it sounds like it won't affect his life to much if he keeps recovering, and I think she has realized that. Or maybe she is trying to hide her feelings. Im going to a movie with her this week but i dont think ill make a move.

I didnt ask her on the movie, she informed me via text message that we were going. All ive done so far is ask how her dad is doing. I am certainly not trying to "woo" her, and im very self-councious about being a dick(reason i made thread, wanted to make sure i didnt do anything retarted)
