I think it's number three, anyway.
Anyway, this blog is devoted to one thing and one thing only, which will keep it short.
That one thing is that...Bars >>> clubs.
Why?
We hit up a club because my friend wanted to see the DJ and to be able to say he was at a club that had Tyrese mother fuckin' Gibson was at.
We drove a half hour to LA to hit that club up, which was the side club at a fucking Crazy Horse Steakhouse, btw. lol...yes. I was expecting country, but they had Tyrese Gibson there, so I guess not.
When we got there, I quickly downed several gulps of something hard...I honestly don't know what it was, but it was apparently 70 proof and free (my friend pulled it out from his drunk), and therefore cheaper than the club. We then walked to the door to get in.
There was a group of us...and they would not let us in. Reasons? My friend wore black Vans slip-ons, and I wore my K-Swisses. Yes. That is why. Because we didn't wear shoes proper for their club with Tyrese Gibson (who the fuck is that guy?), they refused us entry. lol.
So instead we went back and went barhopping in our hometown-ish area somewhere in the OC. There, we saw two different live bands...one that was a kick-ass blues/jazz/reggae band, and another that was a mediocre cover band with a chill bassist with excellent tone and a shitty guitarist soloing on a fucking Squier. -____-
We also talked to many people, had conversations, got drunk, and I tried a Scooby Snack mixed drink for the first time...which was delicious. I also tried a Blue Tap, which I nearly chucked on. I wasn't expecting it to be that strong.
The best part was...BARS DONT HAVE COVER CHARGES, and they don't have fucking dress codes. The last time I had a dress code was in fucking junior high. Fuck you.
Fuck clubs, bars are the shit.

any club that has a strict dress code is a place not to be seen. Last thing I wanna do to get ready for a night out is to be dressed to a certain attire regarding to the place I will be at. Im a skate shoe/cap wearing type of guy b/c I am comfortable in this and don't have to worry about some other drunk douche spilling shit on me fucking my shit up in any type of way.
Have you ever been to a bumping gay club? I swear the females in those type of clubs are 90% 10s. Plus they enjoy not being chased or groped by all the guys b/c of course the guys are gay(the female has a more enjoyable night this way imo). So it comes to conclusion that I can get way more play without cock blocks. Down part about the gay club though is being groped on by guys but most of the time if you give them the snake eye they will most likely know whats sup.

I prefer bars to clubs, too. Alc is cheaper, and you can actually have conversations with your people. Dancing sucks anyways.

@anderoo: I've been going out quite a bit. I'm going to have to tone it down a bit, because my money has become tight for the month as a result of all this going out...T_T. Bars are cheaper than clubs, but still a LOT more expensive than drinking in the comfort of someone's backyard or some shit...haha.

@Kennelie: I agree with you. I have not been to a gay club, but I've had chick friends trying to get me to go. I've been to parties with a lot of gay people...and I dunno. It got weird after while I was freaking on some girl in front of me, my gay friend sidled up behind me and suddenly I was in the middle of a sandwich with the girl on the outside. :X
@anderoo: That's the fun part about gay clubs...it's easier to approach girls because they will assume you're gay and therefore harmless.

@artofmagic: I thought you could wear shoes in the general sense of the word to a club. I also thought that at the very least I could pull off K-Swisses. I wasn't too surprised at my friend's worn slip-ons not making the cut, but seriously...ok, whatever, it makes me mad thinking about it. I was talking shit on the bouncer all the way back to the car telling everyone on the way back how bullshit the club is and how that shit wasn't "happenin'" anyway. God, how freely my mouth runs when I drink...I'm surprised the bouncer didn't run after me.
I'm just angry because we wasted a grip of gas going all the way there.

My recommendation to you is to stop going to shitty raves with shitty music.
You go to the good raves with GOOD music... at least thats the point.

I have yet to hear good rave music. I have a lot of friends who are into that and I was never entertained by their music.
