Lately, I've been steering off from my usual genre of comedy and classics. Instead, I have been interested in watching a lot of movies that are melodramatic and slice of life.
The last two movies I've seen were "Two Lovers" and "The Departures". I loved both of the movies, especially "The Departures".
I tried searching for movies in the similar genre in many of the movie websites such as Imdb, and rottentomatoes with no positive results.
So I need some recommendations TL! Just movies in the melodramatic/slice of life genre. Preferably recently made movies.
Try "I Not Stupid" and "I Not Stupid 2" Its a singapore comedy/drama about kids growing up with azn parents and dealing with their crappy lives. It's a Jack Neo film and it's in mandarin. It probably doesn't fit your criteria, but that and miracle of giving fool are the only dramas ive seen recently.

You know I actually saw that a while ago (I think it was number one), it was just lying on the table and I was wondering what it was, I thought the film was good though.
I was about to recommend Windstruck or My Sassy girl (I know this one is typically recommended), but since your from Korea I'm guessing you've seen these.
