I had a similar problem, and the Blizz tech support guy said it was probably a virus conflicting with it, and that the only way to fix it was to format.
I ended up using my scratched up CDs, and those work. :\

Its deff not a virus comps not even 2 days old. and i havnt been surfing and i got anti virus asap ><
so it seems i need to reinstall then?
|
Well i just got that msg that if you ahve problems its probably a virus (starting sc going to bnet with out chaos)
|
Now its not letting me download it ><
|
Try the iccup version, it's exactly the same but I think the filesize is a lot smaller. You can use a CD key changer if you want to access Bnet.

found my old disks quite easily so i'll try that..

Uhh, do you have "hide known files extensions" enabled? It's in Organize -> Folder options
Tbh it seems really stupid how people are suggesting "REINSTALL" and "OMG VIRUS" when you might just have not renamed the file properly.

Have you tried running SC in compatibility mode? Have you tried running it with "disable visual themes" and "disable desktop composition"?
To access those options, go to starcraft.exe, right click, properties, compatibility tab. Then you can run through chaoslauncher and try
