How the hell does it do this? I don't even move my mouse so it can't be tracking anything. I'm not not saying anything, so even if it somehow hacks its way into my microphone. I'm not typing or anything else.
Of course you can fool it to give you the wrong answer, but if you actually go through the process and choose a number it NEVER fails.

LOL WUT! I didn't even pick one voluntarily, I just opened a book randomly and took the page number.
|
WTF HOW DOES IT DO THIS, IM SCARED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
Mathmatically, it just works out that no matter what number you get it ends up as a multiple of 9.
|
it failed 5 out of 6 times for me actually.

Read the instructions right. It's 64 - 6 - 4 = 54. I have no idea how you got 2.

It's not that hard, just look at how many possabilities there are, for every possible 2 digit number - the first and second digits, the gift is the same.

This was explained a few times on multiple forums. Take a look at the item name for multiples of 9's. 9,18,27....99. They are all the same item. And any 2 different digits would land you on these multiples of 9's. Ex: 10 - 1 + 0 = 0, 11 - 1 + 1 = 9..

Fail Maths.
|
Oh I get it now, you guys are right about the 9 thing. Just at first I didn't see the answers are repeated.
|
I think it guesses based on what you hover your mouse over. It got it wrong twice in a row for me, so I actually hovered over my choice the third time, and that's what it guessed.
Edit: If you're not moving your mouse, OP, then maybe I'm wrong.
|
Nvm, it doesn't but it is in intervals of nine. How does it figure out which number you got, its so messed up.

edit: i tried again and it didn't fail..so how does it actually know which gift you landed on @_@
chance? luck?

If you guys are getting failures, you are doing the math wrong.
|
lol so ez the things repeat 9 18 27 36 etc It's because xy - x - y will always be a multiple of 9

When I hover over one item it will pick another. It does it some times but not all of the time.

What I don't get is, how come these kind of blogs get more replies / views than my SNSD comeback blog? WTF?

I just copy pasted that from the other page (double quote needed), so I didn't check for any stupid mistakes.

or maybe you can't do math because you're high lol

WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
How does it work?, i keep my mouse away.

when i did it i would hover my mouse over my item and those were the times it was correct every other time it was wrong

LOL i was like wtffffffffffffffffffffff until i read fobulous's post

there's only a certain range of answers you can get using their formula, so the website makes sure all the possible answers have the SAME gift: but the website randomizes what that specific gift is each time you play the game.
(i.e. 9, 18, 36, 81 etc. may all be "refrigerator magnet" one round, and then "fruitcake" the next).

Oh what the fuck? That was pretty ridiculous until I went back and did it again and looked at the answer choices.

Pretty fun. I think most people notice the multiple of 9 thing instantly but your eyes don't bother checking the other multiple of 9 answers to see if they're all the same.
You just see a whole bunch of gifts and click next and then are like "wtf, but how does it know i picked THAT multiple of 9".
It's like witchcraft at first, awesome feeling.
|
I suck at simple arithmetic and couldn't be bothered to try it multiple times so I just wrote down 10a+b-a-b and that ruined any surprise.

Haha, got me for a minute there. I was tripping balls.
|
lol nice one It got me until I realized that some of the answers were written multiple times (each multiple of 9 is always the same answer).
Edit: since you subtract the ones digit anyways you always end up with 10x - x = 9x. That's how I saw it after realizing all multiples of 9 were the same though XD
|
two digit number AB in decimal system = 10A + B. 10A + B - (A + B) = 9A. A can be any digit from 1 to 9: 9 possibilities.
|
It was mind blowing until I found out how it was done, now it's nothing special at all.
|
haha I read the thread first so I wasn't impressed at all.
|
people who boast about the program guessing wrong are idiots.
|
I love how you guys are thinking you fooled it.
|
I was thinking in hexadecimal!
FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU----
|
Any two digit number minus the the digits will give you a multiple of 9.
|
I got wrist watch - I chose 66. so did she. I was going to pick 41. omg wtf - she got it again this time - Brick of Fruitcake.
edit - I get it, the answer for the multiples of 9 (Which is always what you will have ) are all the same. But the words randomize every time you take it so it seems like it is reading your mind.
So do this, choose 2 different numbers at once. They will be the same item once subtracted. (also 18 will be the same item since that is the example choice she gives).
|
wow.... u got trolled by the website, haha
so this is how it works...
w.e number you give you will subtract the first 2 digits from it which means once you subtract the 2nd digit you will always end up with a multiple of 10....
(e.g. 46 - 6 = 40, 39 - 9 = 30, 35 - 5 = 30)
and from numbers like 90, 80, 70, 60, etc you just subtract the first digit which will give you the 1 * 9 to the 9 * 9 multiples of 9 (i.e. 81, 72, 63, ..., 18, 9)
now if you look closely all of those numbers have the same "gifts" which are of course randomly generated each time you load the webpage so as to not give you the same one.
