This is KwarK posting from artanis' laptop. Sick night. He's been in the UK for a few days and we've been balling out of control and spending ridiculous amounts of money. Buying random crap and flipping for anything we can think of. Playing like tards and lolshoving at 100nl for kicks.
Anyway, we went to the Victoria Casino in London tonight. I'd never played live before and I suck anyway so Lex agreed that we'd share action and split profits (we were on separate tables) although I couldn't get him to drink. After about an hour we were both at 4x our buyin and lol-living. Live regulars hate online players so much lol. They do nothing but whine about how these kids come in and take their money and you're just like "ffs man, learn to play better or shut up". Got to hear one very long bad beat story about some guy losing some nothing pot at Omaha online and some guy bragging about how easy online was and how he turned his $10 into $200 EZ. Was so tempted to mention that Lex had been flipping for 5ks earlier in the day and won a 15k 3 way. But I'm way too manner and just kept taking the chips. Artanis hit a wall when some other internet guy shoved JJ pf into his AA and sucked out, taking a few hundo off him. I had some guy limp/call T5o and hit 2 pair getting it in 70/30 ahead of me on the flop and hold up for about £500. But I had him covered so didn't busto out. I ground my way back to £400 and Lex to £150 or so (from £20ish) when I said I wanted to leave. 2 hands from the end I get involved in a £850 pot which I lose with AQs top pair top kicker against a strangely played KK overpair. I congratulate the winner, walk over to Artanis and say "yeah, I busted, it's on you".
He's like "lol" and in the 6 remaining hands he 3xs his stack to just short of £400 while I watch in amazement. He can just choose to win pots and it happens. Anyway, we leave with about £100 profit each.
Taxi driver has no gps and it's too late for public transport so we try and navigate him around the south east of England pretty much blindly in the dark. Eventually we managed to find something we recognised and ended up near the hotel with a £130 taxi bill. Was intending to go home but too much taxi fun to go anywhere but the hotel.
Lex decides he really wants a pizza so we phone every pizza place within 20 miles or so but they're all shut. So I phone up room service and am like "I want a pizza" "We don't do pizzas Sir" "If we tipped really, REALLY well could you find us a pizza" ".....". I think the hotel guy, this old distinguished butler looking guy, disapproves of me. Room service + poker because I insist Lex at least makes back the taxi fare. Then being a nit he goes to sleep.
I'm now lying on the sofa in the hotel lounge at 5am on Lex's laptop playing poker. My feet are on the sofa and the butler glares at me whenever he walks through. I'm trying to work out if I can legitimately order room service to the sofa on Lex's room, probably not. Although after I post this I'll sit out and ask.
I definitely want to go play live again and I need Lex for his bankroll and ability to win at poker. Next time we go will be less spur of the moment and we'll probably have photos of us + friends + girls to post. Also we won't have to get a taxi if I offer a friend £60 or so to come with us and roulette. So expect a more epic blog in the next day or three.

Eventually he let me sign for the bill to Lex's room. EZ breakfast steal in a few hours.

Damn..
Yeah from my experiences in live it is WAAY more fun and soft than online. I don't know why i dont do live more often apart from the effort it takes to get up off your ass and make your way to a casino.
Completely different game though, you can expect to raise 6-7x blinds and get 2-3 callers every time which is pretty jokes
