Worse advice I have seen. Maybe I'm wrong though?

So as usually I'm sitting around killing time on iCCup. I see this one guy tell the other guy who is low D rank. That when he scouts mass zealots opening. Siege expand is the best thing to do with your tanks sieged. I was thinking, this is a pretty stupid IMO. I mean your tanks going all die once lots get to them and not only that you have to pull scvs and splash damage kills them while trying to block off the zealots. Seriously, I thought this shit was common sense. I can't figure if the guy is trying to keep telling this Terran to do stupid stuff to win or what.

I couldn't help but make a blog to see what other people think. I find this to be pretty bad from a guy who says he is B-.

Am I going insane or is this just bad advice?

Maybe he was suggesting sitting behind his wall until he had 4 or more tanks, then pulling scvs when they attack. Unless it incorporated a shuttle or some sort of crazy 1base speedlot, I think that's ok advice.

Mass vulture would obviously be better though.

I just don't see how you can siege expand (Siege the tanks) when you scout zealots. Even with a wall unsiege is just as good. I don't see a purpose in using siege vs zealots with no goons.

But like you said i think proper response would be getting vultures...and you get to save gas for whatever you decide to do.

It depends. It can be good. If you can lift your barracks and build a supply depot or two to make a zeal tight wall you won't have any problems defending with tanks if you just repair. If you're playing a map that doesn't have tight chokes in the natural then this probably isn't a great idea.

Overall, you are probably better off getting mines instead though.
