Either way, a day not smoking is one less day putting tons of toxins into your lungs.

It's not so much i want to smoke,I'm really done with it/sick of it. But my actions towards other people might suggest I'm grumpy i dunno ^^ It's always nice to hear some support^^ Edit. And yes, it may only be for one day so far, but my mindset has changed so that it doesn't tempt me as much to take one last cigarette anymore.

I jog 3~ miles a day and smoke a pack a day and because I've always done them, there has never been a change in results. Cardio and pushups (rage ups) will help not feel so hostile , even if you don't notice it. and avoid starcraft, losing a game will make you want to choke some nerds.

I will probably do some, but my entire goal is to get bigger really, with some more work out~ oh, and i was 16 at the time i started and well, i don't really know why i started.. it was cool ? but after 8 years, lots of money, and a cough that is starting to sound nasty it's enough ![]()

It is a withdrawl tip. Also eat apples, the feeling against your teeth and the motion will help too. Don't ask me why =).

digged up.. quote: "Smoking &Tobacco Use: Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal."

Find something new to fill the void. After meals is the hardest, or any other time your body is accustomed to. Try to distract your body directly after a meal. Substitute smokes with fruit. At work a stress ball or something for your hands is quite helpful. Doing 20 pushups whenever the urge comes strong is quite useful. The key is distractions and to be extra careful in the super hard times (after meal).

Maybe you should try playing WoW, I've seen many of my friends get hopelessly addicted to that. It's debatable whether WoW addiction is healthier than smoking though. Most times when I see people get off one harmful addiction it's usually because they get addicted to something else, whether that's harmful or beneficial. What kind of hobbies are you interested in? Maybe you could delve into one of your interests?

Quitting needs to incorporate a serious change of lifestyle for most people imho: it will help you keep your mind off of it, to see the positive changes in your life sooner, to make sure you don't get as often into the same situations where you used to enjoy smoking all the time (like when drinking beer or having a stressful day, or going out etc.) Well, gl to both of us anyway ![]()
