It kind of spoils the whole anticipation and excitement of waiting for a new album to come out when suddenly it leaks and it's unexpectedly plastered all over the internet. T_T I can't decide whether to wait or not. BTW, what is the bitrate of the leaked release? | ||

A nightmare to remember i really like, it's a straight up song with catchy riffs. A rite of passage was made kind of long for no purpose imo, but I haven't listened to it that much. The best of times i really liked, kind of different to the songs DT has been making but I like it. The shattered fortress is the continuation and end of the alcohol steps saga (the glass prison, the root of all evil, etc). It has many arrangements taken from the previous songs. I really like, though it might have to do with nostalgia? Don't know, but i like it :p The count of Tuscany is the strong point of the cd imo. octavarium / ACOS type of song. It doesn't have deep meaning lyrics, but the rhythm, the arrangements, i love it. It's not overdone, yet it feels epic in every moment. Something i noticed immediately is that LaBrie is singing way better. | ||

Wow, that's so inconsistent...and majority is terrible. I guess I'll wait for the actual release. :X Good to see it doesn't sound like a terrible album from your impressions. Systematic Chaos took me forever to get used to, and even after having let it sink in properly, I only like and still listen to two songs from it ("In the Presence of Enemies" and "Ministry of Lost Souls"). -___- | ||
