seriously progamers play with generally low sensitivity. Go with what you're most comfortable with.

and the obvious answer is whatever setting you feel comfortable with. 90% of progamers use the mini optical that doesn't even have dpi settings

Edit: my mouse's default settings keep it at 800dpi which makes me feel like I'm moving in slow motion XD

In order to move at the same speed I'm usually at I had to move my whole forearm rather than just my wrist which would probably get tiring pretty quickly. I guess DPI really is just a personal preference. ? If you pick 400 dpi then make the mouse speed higher? I use 8/11 in windows no acceleration obviously. I think logitech mx510 is 400 dpi without drivers and 800 dpi with drivers, and I don't install the drivers. I also have the mini optical and it's basically the same speed as mx510.

Doesn't adjusting windows mouse speed make the mouse move an amount different from its native dpi and thus skip pixels and make it a lot more inaccurate? And yeah of course mouse acceleration is off.
