So.. my friend (SL.aCe) and I decided to play a Best of 51. Not to determine who is the better player but rather for fun and to get in top shape in ZvT / TvZ.
If I remember correctly the startmap was Destination and after that it was loosers choice. Right now the score is 15/10 in his favor and I'm a bit disappointed because I lost some games in a really annoying fashion.

I'm really getting back into my mechanics. My macro is improving and my micro is nearly back to top shape. I found out that its really fun to snipe defilers before they can cast anything.
In addition to that, its a lot of fun. aCe is really strong in ZvT and he playes a great style. Right now there aren't really short games, but really great mid and lategame playes. (25-40 minutes iirc)
I also want to use that blog to thank ToT)ret(, ToT)Aerials(, ToT)Gan(, ToT)Naugrim(, SL.aCe, AttackZerg and Ytech.Delphi for the enormous amount of train and help.
I really appriciate it. Today I'm going to play against ToT)Shad(, hopefully we'll have good games! As soon as the Best of 51 is finished I'll upload the Replaypack here.

Now for the advice part. Spend your money. In our games and in these you are always peaking fairly early. Just remember that consistently having 400-500 is 2 full baracks of production you are missing out on.

EDIT: Naruto, I've got a question concerning Game 1005: Why did you build your Turrets that early? IIRC, you started to build them around 06:30 into the game, isn't that a bit early?

Probably a mistake. Sometimes I try a different build and for that build I know the turret timing by heart. For new builds I'm not exactly sure and thats why I add turrets early (I dont have scan early).
Edit: Yeah obviously its better to have them exactly in time.

Ok, just watched all of the 5 reps. Although I'm probably not nearly as good as you are, I think I discovered some things you might want to improve:
1. Your BO seems kind of strange to me, especially the 4 Rax and the very late Science Vessel confused me.
2. You were not upgrading as quickly/consistently as you could have done. Sometimes you were on 2-2 like 18 minutes into the game.
3. Except for two games, your Science Vessel numbers were rather low, so there was not much irradiating going on.
4. You often took your 3rd base very late and thus got outmacroed by your opponent.
All in all these were some very entertaining games with a lot of epic fights. Is Ace actually competing in any Tournaments in the foreigner scene? I think he might have a good shot at winning some of these..

You dont have to be as good as me to discover weak spots.
1. The purpose on this build is to knock out Zergs 3rd before lurkers are out.. Since I'm not half as good as ret I didnt manage to do that :p!
2. Yup, thats true, I suck with consistently upgrading.
3. Ye-__-; I don't know, in the past I always had a looot science vessels because I played SKTerran. Nowadays my build is a bit off since I'm getting used to it and I'm not exactly sure when to get the second gas etc. But last games I had more vessels.
4. True T_T! I'm really bad at expanding TvZ.
-> Ace is playing Valor and is in top 32, I think he's also in SC2GG Starleague ??.. I'm not sure!
