I'm not too worried, I don't live in a major population center and I don't fuck pigs (I'm not sure if anyone here watches the PhillyD show). Sounds like the shit really is hitting the fan though. That last time there was a true flu pandemic, it killed in 1-2 years a comparable number of people as the bubonic plague did in 10 years. It also targeted young healthy people rather than just old people and babies. So 20 years-olds would get sick then be dead a day or 2 later. I think some people though are blowing it out of proportion. Humans should have a healthy respect for disease. It has whooped our butts too many times in the past for us to not take it seriously. I wouldn't even know where to get one around here to be completely honest. The pharmacies here have never sold them really, I'd have better luck just picking up some Tamiflu. Also I could just buy, you know, water for if I get sick. Americans never treated Flu as something to avoid, we act reactively to it instead of proactively and just deal with it as we got it. | ||
