I haven't been able to sleep properly for nearly a week now...I fall asleep at like 5-6am nowadays, wake up for class (they start at 2pm for me), then repeat. Even on days I don't have classes, I sleep late, wake up relatively early, or just keep waking up and end up not feeling restless when I do get up...
Does anyone have any ideas?
The two options I'm thinking of right now are either to try reading some of my class material...nothing puts me to sleep faster (but I probably won't sleep well anyway), or power down like 4-5 shots of Jack and try to pass out.
Man, this is frustrating.

Power down 4-5 shots of Jack and try to pass out?
Nothing wakes me up better than 4-5 shots of Jack.

That just happens to me when i've got a crappy rythm. I personally can't fall asleep between 2/3 and 6/7AM. To solve this I either just go to bed between 10 and 12PM one night, do NOT get up after that, just stay in bed and set my alarm clock for like 8/10AM. Or, if i can afford to basically be a zombie one day, just pull an all nighter doing something and don't sleep at all before 8PM the next day (don't take a nap, that'll mess everything up). It's just a bad sleeping cycle and can be solved in 24h .

I was thinking about doing that...but I don't think I can last for another fourteen hours.

Nothing wakes me up better than 4-5 shots of Jack. My tolerance is shit.

I always laugh at this problem. Like your life is so out of control you can't even stay up until 10 pm one night and then sleep? Really?

Stay up all night, force yourself to wade through the next day, and go to sleep between 9 and 11 PM. You'll be relieved

yea ive got classes at 2pm also, but on somedays its 5pm. and wanting to stay up late to watch starcraft doesn't really help either. i end up going to sleep at like 9-10 in the morning. sometimes later, sometimes ive got to take sleeping pills just t get a good night sleep.

No...I've just been having trouble sleeping recently. My life is nothing extraordinary, at the moment. What I wrote above and your assumption have absolutely no inferable relation.

I read these tips somewhere...
The hour before you decide to sleep, you should relax. Basically put yourself in a sleeping mode. Try not to stay in front of the computer, dim the lights, relax your brain. Don't do something intense like studying because then your mind will be on the material when you toss and turn. When you tell your body it's time to sleep by controlling your environment, it makes it easier. Also, stress causes insomnia... maybe you're just stressed out so try and relax

Maybe work out alot and you'll get tired.

Good tips indeed.

Nothing is more frustrating than getting up at 6am, running around on a mountain all day doing work, eating well, going to bed at 10,11pm, and lying there for a couple of hours unable to fall asleep. This was my schedule for a few weeks over one summer

Just watch WarCraft III VODs or a really long TvT. You'll sleep like a baby.
Rekrul's method works too, I'll testify, but it's not too good for your health if you get in a habit ^^

i get into this cycle sometimes. just pick a day when u have no big obligations, and stay up the night before. it'll help reset your cycle
