LATEST EDIT: more ppl on #2 instead of #1 plz
I'll tell you guys what it's for and stuff a week from now. Just take EXACTLY ONE of the following surveys; they each have one question. Oh, and try to answer them as soon as you feel your mind has reached a consensus.
#1) http://ethereum.questionform.com/public/Survey-1
#2) http://ethereum.questionform.com/public/Survey-2
EDIT: no spoilers regarding correct or incorrect answers in thread plz ;( Until a week from now anyways, or earlier whenever I edit the OP in case hits start stagnating.

err Shivaz no spoilers of any sort plz

+ Show Spoiler +contrapositive? I guess this survey sorts the mathematical people from the philosophical people?

Important question regarding the surveys.
Does the "I" character referenced in the surveys have multiple faces?

huh?
I = "me" or whatever character you may want to pretend is asking you the question.
|
also I don't see any faces.. unless the survey site is acting up.

nope not quite, to the latter statement that is. Oh btw, only read things in spoilers if you've answered already please.

it was a weird joke based on the possibility of smiling and not smiling at the same time, because you have multiple faces.

For those who already are done:
+ Show Spoiler + The difference between survey one or two is the presentation of the question. I randomly chose question 2, and after reading it I chose to ignore the second sentence under the pretense that it could not affect the correct answer, yet could serve to confuse me.
The variable between Q1 and Q2 is whether or not you give the example, but I think it's going to create some confounding variables. I'll be interested to hear your rationale later.

+ Show Spoiler + i'm too logical for this trickery
(i started with #2, spent a long time thinking about it, answered no, then looked at #1 which made me feel good about myself)

+ Show Spoiler +I don't understand you, I am quiet certain there is no correct answer rather the purpose is to show different types of thinking.

+ Show Spoiler +Yeah, I was the first one to take the survey (though I actually never submitted any results haha), and immediately recognized it as seeing if people know how to deal with contrapositions. It's really easy to see through if you have even the most basic knowledge of mathematical logic. I didn't spoiler my words, though, so I kind of ruined it prematurely. Hence my edit.

statement: if happy, then smile
is it possible to not smile if happy?
no, not logically. the second one provides some sort of crappy justification as to why it might be possible to not smile, but that doesnt counteract the absolute edict of the first statement

+ Show Spoiler +I did only the first survey. From that, logically one would assume that the person would have to be smiling if they are happy because the previous sentence indicated that when they are happy they smile. Within the context of the stated question, there is no way the person could be happy and not smiling. Obviously in real life that doesn't apply, but this is a self-contained question independent of real life.
At least that's the way I look at it.
