I just got this pm from an iccup admin

Hi, Val-AZ. I am denying this complaint due to a possibility of using a hack. I'm currently a Ladder Trial Admin, so my decision is not final. It will be made official by a Super Admin. Regards, ICCup.Strider

My id is VAL-AZ. He actually denied my complaint because of the 'possiblity' of a hack while I have played 100% of my games with antihack on FOREVER. I can not believe that. And while he was sending that, I GOT DROPPED ON AGAIN and its not in my matchlist. I'm definately going to wait until tomarrow to post this one, I mean shit I don't want this guys judgement on anything..... grr

I swear to god when I read some of the complaints over there its like reading Kafkas Process (the trial) where a man gets accused of a crime, not told what it is, and given no chance to defends him self, on icc you get accused of hacking without any proof except * the server said you do * they ignore logic, they ignore you trying to defend yourself, once its set that you hacked in their d- mind there is nothing else to do but get punished, especially if you say something that they might interpret as a attack or a insult because of their sub par English skills, the complaint forums can look like the twilight zone sometimes.

9/0 at hmm 162+162 + 37 (for 'losing')= 361 (both players discing on me were 1 rank higher)
1880 + 361 = 2241
9/0 = 2241 is not bad stats at all for trying to rank climb with the fewest possible games

You have two options: pursue it, be extra polite, wrangle over it with admins who are generally nice but also don't want to be proven wrong, or just forget about it and soldier on. The only reason to really do the former is if you are taking a prideful stance, otherwise it's more efficient to just ignore it and win 2 quick games to make up the points.

I care about my record. At this point in the season I can go 39-40 and 1 or 2. I definately don't drop games in the D level.
I wanted a sexy record like "30/1" or something and to lead the ladder for the first few days. Not "7/1" with my 'loss' being to a 20/60 polish drop hacking zerg.

I agree that resetting your account mid-season (or starting a new one etc) subverts the whole idea of a ladder system, but it seems to me that the primary point was that there are admins who simply shouldn't be admins, which can affect you no matter what rank you are.
There's obviously not much we can do about it, but that's why this is a blog and not a serious thread.
So why all the anger?

If I'm able to play as much and as well as I want, and do qualify it wouldn't be because of some points in the d rank, the bigger fish will end up nabbing some of them anyway =)

And seriously some of the iccup admins are stupid, forget the one where the guy dropped me becasue he lost his reaver+shuttle( was up a base or two) and was ready to push with a shitload of tanks and some vultures when he drops. and they say i had no chance of winning -_-.
They need to hire admins who know shit about starcraft

I'm sorry but the reason I responded with "O rly" to his accusation of hacking is because even though I might not be the most liked gamer in the world, it is 100% impossible for anybody to ever say that I have done anything remotely hacking related. That is the real problem, the real reason I was angry. Everything else is fixable, having someone actually say that I was denied because of the possiblity of a hack, when I had antihack on (which I'm sure they can easily check the servertime and the game starting time to confirm) and just posted the replay with "I win, he disc, pretty straight forward". argg...
I'll post the replay in a second just to make it more obvious why this was a stupid call.

Also please have admins be very cautious when denying claims due to 'possiblity of a hack'. That really truly did hurt my feelings. I have been a legit (although not gosu) starcraft player for 10 years now and I've never had an admin (wgt,pgt, or iccup) every say something like that before.

Personally, I thought the first PM had quite a bit of attitude. We may disagree on what constitutes disrespect. On the other hand, the PM just posted is, IMO, a great way to go about it. Should hopefully get that resolved painlessly.

Alot of my friends who also plays BW have the same experiences with the ICCup admins, and if you check the ladder complaints forums, they really get alot of complaints taken care of. I dont think I've ever played a e-sports game, with a ladder that is so well-run. And its not just relatively well run, its very well run, period.

So what did you do? You made a scene about it and critisised the admin in public, who were actually being very professional, simply following the admin guidelines. (someone makes a complaint, but something sketchy is detected by AH, so the case has to be dropped)
