Toki o Kakeru Shōjo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) - 98 Minute Movie
A slice of life / drama / romance film involving a high school girl who gains to ability to leap back into time, discovered in order to avoid a fatal train accident.
I don't know why, but these types of peaceful, lighthearted movies always hit the right spot with me. Always a nice change of pace, this, (like any good animated movie), incorporates beautiful animation, and a phenomenal musical score.
I really liked the plot of the story. It wasn't hard to understand, which is good for this style of movie, and had a good ending. In the end, you feel fulfilled, like the last hour and a half was well spent watching this movie.
[9/10] - Top notch quality and well worth watching. A really great movie, and now one of my favorite animated movies.
Kurenai - 12 Episodes
"Sixteen-year-old Shinkurō Kurenai, a specialist in settling squabbles between people, is one day approached by his employer with the daughter of a powerful plutocratic family asking him to be her bodyguard." -Wikipedia (boy aren't i getting lazy?). This anime is like halfway inbetween a drama and a slice of life type of deal.
Good animation and I liked the soundtrack, otherwise, nothing really special about this. Yet, I still managed to like this. Everything was decent, characters, plot, etc, only a few minor annoyances. For instance, the OP looks like it was made by some guy spending 20 minutes in flash, not really a fan of it. Otherwise, I felt that the major flaw was that some things were really underdeveloped and probably could have improved the anime if they were left out. + Show Spoiler +
Like that shit in his arm. Wtf is that? I still don't know completely. Its so random that is kinda breaks the mood from an otherwise generally realistic anime. Furthermore, the fact that Murasaki speaks so elequently and independtly for an uneducated 7 year old is also kind of strange...

It wasn't the general super happy ending or "expected" ending you could spot from a mile away.
[6/10] - Not much going on, can't say I recommend it despite having liked it.
