Gahh I'm so excited I had to tell someone. My sister was at a gathering of some sort for her boyfriend's company and she won a Wii in a raffle. But she already had a Wii and was too lazy to sell the new one(hurrah for laziness!). So she decides to be a kickass sister and give the Wii to me!
The first thing I did after my dad kicked my ass at Wii Sports bowling and tennis was go to Best Buy and use the rest of my gift card to get a copy of Smash Bros Brawl. (The absence of wavedashing suxx...I was just starting to get the hang of drillshines, moonwalks, and various other Fox tricks when I quit playing melee) Oh well, it's still a fun game regardless and I got it essentially for free.
As of right now I have no idea what other games to get since I haven't been paying attention to Wii games. No More Heroes looks pretty badass and I've always been a fan of Mario Kart so probably those 2 will be next. Although I'd still be happy even if I never got another game since I have a Wii with 2 games and haven't spent a dime yet. Free stuff rocks!!

That's pretty fortunate. Once my grandparents won an ipod from a raffle, they didn't even know what it was so they gave it away :D

Zelda, if you havn't played it on the GC. Metroid (Prime), if you havn't played it on the GC. Okami, if you havn't played it on the PS2.
Heh, best of Wii = ports so far. Havn't really seen any creative genious yet outside of the gimmick titles.

Pretty much Thrill has already said what I would tell you to get. (Zelda/Metroid/Okami). Mario Galaxy is pretty good too.

get some wiipoints and go to the virtual store ! oo Unless you're fine when downloading roms etc then i don't know. mario party games are fun with a friend. the cooking mamma gaems were interesting but i don't know if they're your type of thing.
i liked the minigame type things similar to mario party so if you can find some of those check them out.
edit: mario kart is a neat game too. i like the mario kart series.

Thanks for the advice guys. Zelda is also among my considerations and I remember almost buying Okami for PS2 before I stopped playing my PS2 altogether. I've never played through a whole game of Metroid except for the NES one so I dunno about that. I find Mario Party games fun when playing with several other people but I can't spend a lotta money on games/controllers right now, at least not until I get a job.

When I saw the "Fortune has smiled" I thought you had won a lottery or something..

You should hack that thing since you like free things so much. Twilight hack has to be the easiest mod ever.
|
You should get Metroid Prime 3, LOZ: TP, and maybe Super Mario Galaxy (Found it a little easy though) if you ever want to get other games for the Wii.

Sick double pun in the title! :D

You know there's a hack right for ssbb? You can install Brawl+ which brings back all those sweet techniques.
Look in smashboards.com for the hack.

Awesome! haha, I actually won a Wii myself, for randomly signing up for the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance website. Won a copy of that game as well! I eventually sold the Wii though, but for more than it was worth, haha. (yay christmas demand)
I'll probably buy another one sometime in the near future. =)

I thought Resident Evil 4 was an excellent game for the Wii. And I don't usually like non-RPGs. You should check it out.

I have really cool cousins...who despite being in high school still pitched in together and got their broke older college student cousin a 120GB ipod classic.
Free shit is awesome.

Brawl sucks, just keep playing Melee instead if you just started
That said, enjoy your Wii while it's still fun, because the Wii's entertainment level for people who aren't 12 or under is very limited after the first few months. The only thing I still use it for is Guitar Hero, otherwise it just sits there and collects dust.
