So, I loved Kanye West's last album, "Graduation." I got a hold of "808s & Heartbreak," and after a listen-through just now I can clearly state that Kanye West can not sing, nor make songs. He can make #1 hits, but not songs. I thought something was up when he sounded horrendous on Saturday Night Live, but the actual album isn't much better than his performance on SNL. Stick to your old Kanye albums, and you'll be better off.

Kanye does not have the best voice, nor the best rapping ability. However, he does make great songs, and albums. He has top notch production skills and better lyrics than most rap out there.

I haven't had a chance to hear the new album though.

Late Registration was so damn good. Graduation was aight and 808's has like 3 or 4 songs that i would consider good, but overall, boring shitty

Kanye's so painful to listen to. It's like he doesn't have any vocabulary at all and instead emphasizes the last word of each line to make it sound like he's doing some clever rhyming when in fact 70% of the time he is repeating the same word he used in the previous line.

I really hate it when people are rapping and say the same word at the end of a line that they already said, it's stupid and makes it seem like they have no rapping skill whatsoever and they're caught up with what they're trying to bullshit about instead of showing us some good lyricism

It's really a shitty album. Streetlights is alright if you're depressed, but the rest is overproduced and the lyrics are garbage. He's gone from cocky/somewhat honest & sarcastic to simply being emo.
