Hi guys.
Another unmanly thing to do.
When I was 13, I always ate instant noodles everyday. Not that there wasn't anything to cook but I just didn't really know how to cook them.
So one day, I got so sick of eating the same kinds of things.. I decided to teach myself how to cook!
My food started with pasta. The simplest things to cook.. okay not really but they are convenient.
They ended up tasteless. Really.. they smelt great. The olive oil smelt great with all the spices but they just didn't have any taste. Why? Because no salt!
So I've ended up from tasteless food to somewhat edible food today! I now cook for my family and I do cook lunch for my sisters(what an irony).
So here's how they actually look like.
This one was when my mum bought some crabs but she bought a little too much so I ended up cooking them.
This was just a few days ago. I managed to stop the egg from tearing everytime.
And this was today. Rice with a ton of tomatoes. I bought some during the weekend. I initally wanted to try some pasta again but I realised that there was no more pasta. Thank God I'm asian. Rice ftw.
Well after my exams, I'm going to make carbonara for my family again and I'll post some pictures!

That omelette is fuckin awesome dude. I barely got my scrambled eggs down. But meh also growing up I always ate canned food (tuna/vienilla sausage/potted meat/etc) and of course the soup bags/cups but after so long I got tired of eating that nasty ass shit. Now I been cooking alot of stuff and continue to learn new stuff to try out. I love cooking on a outside grill the most thou. I just love the way a smoke smells while the fire is burning and food on the grill.

I like cooking, but I would rather be doing something else than doing it so I never do

Gj, yeah i'm in a similar situation as you, though i still cant cook eggs =(. I can make pasta dishes, because i actually do believe (from personal experience) they are relatively simple to make at least edible. Then started to roast chicken/turkey and the like. You should roast a chicken sometime, relatively easy to do, and it feeds many. Goodluck with that carbonara, you should post a recipe as well =)

The men of my family are better cooks than the women.
Being able to cook nice food deserves a lot of respect, not unmanly at all.
The main problem I have with cooking is the amount of time it takes.
Your food looks good ;o

Don't overuse white rice. Switch to brown or don't use it so frequently.
If you really like your bleached carbs, switch to vermicelli or pasta now and then to break up the texture, especially with dishes in the style of your third. These options can also be done using whole grains.
Cheers : )

Cooking is very manly, and I love to eat as well (it's so bad when your losing weight). I wish I knew how to cook. Looking at these pictures makes me want to try one of your dishes. =)

wine? man has tastes. i love crabs shrimps and lobsters. :D
