So as a field trip of my IT Programming class we went to Kutztown Univeristy today which was actually pretty sweet.
Unlike the other colleges I have visited: Alvernia, Penn State, and RACC, this college has more courses and opportunities that I am looking for. It has some pretty heavy recommendations that I do not meet.
My GPA, class rank, and recommended classes do not match and will not match no matter what I do - since I'm about 1/2 the year away from graduating HS. However they did mention that their Computer Science & Information Technology fields were very big on SATs and ACTs; the math scores were one of the biggest things that will be taken into consideration.
I'm just wondering if anyone can throw me some really useful websites or recommend me any books that I could pick up at my local library. Also any advice on how to study or do good is appreciated.

Penn State is gigantic, how can they not offer the courses that you want to take?
For advice, to be honest, the best way is to drill tests. Try to take a full exam a day under real test conditions, or at least 1 of each major section (math reading writing) and then study the answers, try to see what you did wrong.
The best books to get from libraries are those "10 real SAT tests" type books by barrons or princeton review
Read the advice that they give, but the best way to prepare is just to practice practice practice

There are a host of books you can find on amazon, but I suggest maybe looking into professional help (lol)
Sylvan learning center, the cheesy school that is on all the comercials that lets you get credits if you fail classes, also has programs for SAT prep. A few of my friends have told me it was a great experience. Since you can't actually "study" for the SAT, I guess what they do is prepare you for taking the test. Like using the process of elimination and helping anxiety and stuff of that nature, which I'm sure would help you on any college exam as well.
There also might be some online courses that do the same thing. I guess you'd have to look into that, if you think sylvan is a stupid idea.
and no I'm not being paid by Sylvan ;p
P.S. Get on aim sir.

I took Kaplan, and the best resource I got from Kaplan was that they had years and years of real SAT's to take as practice tests I found the classes to be completely mundane and not helpful.
However, my scores were basically at the point where getting advice like that wasn't helpful. Those classes will help you a lot if you're in the 800 to 1000 range and are aiming for the 1000 to 1200 range. I was trying to go from the 1350 to 1500 range and already knew all of the math tricks and had a pretty decent sized vocab, and the help that they gave was not really relevant to me.
The problem with those classes is that you're a little late to start them for a fall exam, and they're expensive as hell

Whoever said drill tests was right. Don't necessarily take whole tests over and over, but take enough that you know what sections you need to work on then drill those sections.
For instance, when I was studying I was trying to up my writing and critical reading scores, so I got every SAT test I could get my hands on and went through doing every writing grammar sections and every sentence completion section (along with looking up every word in sentence completion I didn't know). No better way to study.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I got another question though, as far as online practicing goes. My parents told me "Your taking your tests before December" - so I have less than a month to study and take the SAT's and ACT's. Also they don't really want me to buy books and I don't have my license or permit. I'm sure I can grab a book off someone from school if anyone has any, but I guess my help is limited to online for a bit. So any online website suggestions as well?

BTW, one thing that really helps on the essay is a "wiki-page" Basically, you take a wikipedia page of a well-known person (Leonardo da Vinci, Picasso, Walt Disney, etc) and shrink it down to one page. Make 10-20 of these and study them; they help a lot on the essay.
As for websites.. I know collegeboard.com has some practice problems But books are a lot more helpful x_x Seniors at your school probably have useless SAT/ACT prep books that you can borrow

faust i will help you with your sats fraise of charge
catch is my math section was my worst section.
I would start by looking up all the SAT books and just taking the practice tests. If you PM I will give you all the tips you need for the writing section and reading section. Math section is just doing it over and over again, except for a few tricky problems that I can help with.

Don't take classes, biggest waste of money ever.
If you want a good math section check out Barrons or Grubers, two best math sections IMO.

I second the Barrons books, at least for the sat II's. The classes really are a waste of money if you actually study the books.

And none of that, that will also help a lot I promise.

kaplan sucks major balls, mainly because it is way too easy compared to the actual test
princeton review is about the same level as the real test
Collegeboard has actual SAT books that give you old (but not too old) tests. Too good
barrons is harder than the actual test, nevertheless this could still be useful for you
Oh, you seem to not be able to get any books. I suggest you get a tutor for the math section since that section is the most easily taught while the others are mainly test and self-study.
Classes are great if you cannot concentrate at home on studying like me. Since you are downloading WoW..

I think that and Writing were the easiest to improve. First time I took it, not so well. I basically improved my writing and math by 50-100 points easy with prep.
And reading..not my best [:
