How can you touch all nine dots using only four lines? (you can't break and start at a different spot)
2. Andrew has two bottle of medicine to last him three days. Each bottle contains three tablets. He must take one of each medicine for each of the three days. On the second day, he accidentally spills the bottles and doesn't know which belongs to which bottle. They are all the same color and size and you can't differentiate between them with your eyes, or any other of the five senses. If he takes two of the same medicine or doesn't take one of each medicine in a day, he will die. How will he do it?
3. What letter is missing in this sequence?

in riddle 2 it sais he will die if he takes no pills or 2 of the same, so he must only take 1 pill.

Why doesn't grinding them up work?
If he mixes it well, you know its going to be 50% of each pill.
edit: well i guess breaking them in half works too, but thats harder to do!

yeah grinding them up should work as well although cutting them in half is probably easier ^^

I remember I asked my niece the first question and her reply was to make an extremely thick line that covers it all up. I marvel at her creativity...

I didn't understand the first one. The third one seems too hard. The second one wouldn't be a problem if he dropped the bottles after taking his day 2 dose. If not there is a 67% chance that he will pick the right ones anyway, so he should just go ahead and pick 2 random ones.
Edit: Oh I understand the first one now. Too bad it got spoiled before I got to try my wits against it.

That one works a lot better when said out loud.
For q.2 I meant he would eat half of each pill on one day, then the remaining halves the next day.
I've seen 1 and 3 before, I had this nice collection of "riddles", I'll try find it.

The answer has been said earlier in the thread. Just break each remaining pill in half and eat one set of halves the second day and the rest on the third day.

make quarters of each tablette and combine them again so that 1 tablette is made from all 4 tablettes.
For example the first is made of 1st quarters of all tablettes, etc...
= 1 tablette has exactly 2*1/4 medicine-1 and 2*1/4 medicine-2
take 2 pills a day = 4*1/4 medicine-1 and 4*1/4 medicine-2 = 1 medicine-1 and 1 medicine-2
