Dunno but I was bidding on one as well and it got removed... Pretty fucking absurd if you ask me, since they're not removing all the auctions for the polar bear key.

In my opinion that depends on the reason that you are doing it... but I don't insult people to their face about it even if I do consider their reason stupid.

If on average, someone makes $60-70,000 a year, why would they feel embarressed about making such a small purchase? I honostly don't understand your arguement very well.

If I can spend a measly $500 and grant myself a wonderous chance at playing SC2 from the very beginning, then I consider that a great exchange. I make enough money to allow me to spend $500 on something I want and enjoy. We revolve around consumerism, and in this day and age, there are alot more embarressing purchases going around, compared to a measly $500 for an insanely cool chance at testing SC2. If on average, someone makes $60-70,000 a year, why would they feel embarressed about making such a small purchase? I honostly don't understand your arguement very well. If you can throw around 500 dollars like that, why didn't you just buy a plane ticket and blizzcon ticket and go get a beta key yourself? That way you'd not only get this chance to experience sc2 from the beginning, you'd also get to experience sc2 there at the test areas as well as watch the live matches, not to mention get the rest of the goodie bag contents.

the reason so many people beta test is to iron out bugs. Nothing to do with balance. Only the people who come up with the top build orders or strategies (that are to the point of being broken) are going to have any effect on the balancing process.

PS- Ebay has a policy for not selling beta software. Since the key gets you into beta software they assume you sell beta software (which is bullshit imo). I had a WotLK beta key on ebay about to sell at 300 dollars with a few hours to go and it got taken down... You can however get around their shitty policy by selling using the 'Buy it now!' feature before they take it down. But you have to have sold 10 items before you can use that feature or some gay shit. Also, As I was informed ebay doesn't take them down until someone complains, Blizzard wasn't complaining. It was other faggot sellers reporting other people's auctions to increase demand and boost their profits. So now I have a worthless beta key that afaik sells for like 30 bucks (or 300g even in wow..) and the game is almost out.
