These are the most popular songs in Korea right now, based on various sources (from soompi.com). I tried to put live performances and ordered in how much I like them, more or less.
if you guys make suggestions or whatever, i will try to change it up to suit you. this isn't a list of my personal favorites, it's simply a list of whats popular in Korea at the moment

i like music videos, but even with the good videos, they sometimes break up the song to showcase the video.
my purpose was to show the talents of the singers. even the wondergirls sound good in the music video. real singers sound good even when they are live.
there are rock bands in korea, but most people in korea like to listen to pop/ballads

i also left out cinderella by seo in young because it is a totally shitty song. if you dont believe me, you can go watch it on youtube yourselves and then post here again about what total shit it is.

u should add "so hot" and because not everyone follows your blogs so they may not know about the wonder girls and i actually found "cinderella" better than many of the songs above >< maybe kpcrew your taste for music is different? I think more foreigners would like cinderella (because like.. other than u go girl, most were slow sad sweet kiddy, w/e). Cinderella has a really exciting rhythem imo which is what most want

girl/boyband songs are bad. i only used to like so hot by wonder girls because the girls are cute, and somehow that makes their songs sound better even though im actaully looking at their features rather than listening to their "talents". anyway, i like a lot of korean's ballads.
A quite old song, but this song got me into korean ballads, and korean music in general. I recommend some of Seo Taiji's old songs, some of the mv's are quite wtf?
